Am I going crazy?
Would I even know?
Am I right back where I started fourteen years ago?
Wanna guess the ending, if it ever does.
I swear to God that all I've ever wanted was...
A little bit of everything all of the time.
A bit of everything all of the time.
Apathy's a tragedy and boredom is a crime.
I'm finished playing and I'm staying inside.

HOME
It's late, or perhaps the better term would be twilight. That in-between of night and the very early hours of the morning, where the sky was a very neat purple color. Though, stars still beamed brightly in the sky. So, it wasn't early enough for sunlight just yet. It's clear that she hasn't had any proper sleep lately, but here she is. A steaming cup of coffee situated on the small table beside her as she sits on the swinging bench of the porch. Both hands carefully wrap around the mug, a deep inhale of the scent of french vanilla, before she takes a few sips with a sigh of content. Shifting around a bit, she focuses on the screen of her laptop where the previous episode of Fallout is showing. Finger moves to the screen, the time marker scrubbing until it reaches the moment she has taken such pure glee in. If there was one thing she enjoyed the most, it was putting people in their place and reminding them of what they really were. It was proving them wrong and making them realize that the world was not meant to be theirs for the taking.
One of Redd's goons stands beside her as she presses the play button. "I guess… I guess you’re… You’re right, Redd. Maybe I have been blinded by everything. Maybe I have been seeking something that pushed me to where I needed to be." Savannah's voice speaks into the microphone and Redd lets out an all too satisfied chuckle. "Of course, I’m right. Now, open up that casket and let me have one good look at what I’ve caused." Redd's voice speaks up now, but when the casket opens... It's not Jason's body inside, but that of his younger brother Nathan, who stares right up at Redd. "What the---WHERE IN THE HELL IS JASON--" Redd's voice is full of confusion and even a hint of anger as Savannah wears an all too unfriendly smirk on her lips. "You ungrateful fucking cunt. Haven’t you remembered the one thing that Jason tells everyone? That when you come at the king, you best not miss? Sadly enough… YOU FUCKING MISSED!" The scene pauses, Savannah shaking her head slightly as a small grin reaches her lips before she continues playing out the scene. The crowd comes unglued as Jason's music blares through the arena, It's all out chaos as Jason makes his presence known and he's gunning right for Redd. Inside of the ring, Savannah and Nathan make quick work of the goon and Jason joins them in the ring after returning with Redd's mask. Promises of ending Redd's existence hanging in the air. It's a lot to take in, but it's the truth and nothing less. For too long, Redd had been running around with nothing to his name except some cheap horror movie performance and some wolfish claim upon those who became his victims.
An index finger reaches out again, scrubbing the time maker across the screen until it reaches the final scenes that had played out at the end of the show. Inside of the ring stands Christian DeMarco, Jason Long, and Savannah Sunshine who have been going back and forth in a heated debate about who exactly Redd was. Arik Holt comes out letting everyone know he's gotten down to who it is and Redd's music fills the air. Everyone in the ring is looking towards the entrance... but the area begins to fill with individuals masked with green light up masks. They're all outnumbered and they know they don't stand a chance, even as they stand their ground. Minutes pass with no sign of Redd... until Arik Holt surprisingly speaks up. It takes everyone on a whirlwind of an adventure. Not only had none of them believed Arik could speak, but what made things all the more interesting? Arik reveals himself to have been Redd this entire time, a long tirade spilling from his lips that leaves everyone stunned and even more pissed off by the end of it. Words spilled for Savannah and Jason and Christian and people he had previously manipulated and made victims out of. Savannah has to pause it briefly, has to swallow the bile that rises from deep within. For someone who had tried to kill the love of her life, he sure was good at playing the whole victim card. In a way, she understood him. But, they were not the same. She would have never stooped to such low tactics as he had. She swallows again, steels herself as she plays from where she had left off. To make matters even more interesting, Arik issues a challenge to Savannah. The match confirmed, though details were unclear at the time. At Night of Honor, Savannah would be facing off against Arik.
A finger reaches out to stop the scene, pausing on a frame of Arik looking all too pleased with himself. Her gaze darkens, fists clenching in her lap, before someone shuts the laptop soundly and the same hand reaches out to collect it with a shake of his head. "How many times are you going to watch this? You've watched it since we left the show, since we've come home. How many times has it been now?" Jason's voice pipes up as he moves the laptop out of Savannah's grasps, even as she dares to try to protest. He silences her with a stolen kiss, sweet and to the point as he settles beside her with a low grunt. There's a frown on her lips as she leans into him slightly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up. I'm just..." She huffs, frustration in her tone as she scrubs her hands against her face. "I knew. I had this hunch that... that it was him and I didn't do anything about it. Because look at what happened when all signs pointed to Kayden... Just for it to turn out to be this shit eating psychopath." She shakes her head, slight sigh leaving her as she glances over at Jason. "We don't have to talk about it, I don't want to get all on edge again. The real question is how are you feeling?" He shrugs, staring off into the distance as Savannah drinks from her mug of coffee. "I'm fine. Really, I'm fine. I'm more frustrated at the fact he's still so cocky when we can easily wring his goddamn neck. This makes things far more complicated though, considering his position on Fallout. You okay?" His tone softens, one hand reaching out to gently run fingers through Savannah's curls as she stretches out and lays her head in his lap. She shifts, just so she can gaze up at him from her new position. How was she feeling? So many people kept asking her that, especially when everyone believed Jason to be dead. She hadn't even told him about the fact she was still having nightmares about it.
"I'm fine. Never been better in my life. I feel a little bad about how I took my frustrations out on Levi, but I gave him a fair warning. I'm getting a little fed up with everyone thinking just because I'm this stupid, gullible, naive thing that I can't put them in their place. I- I fucked up once before. I let someone into my life who should have never had a space there to begin with. I should have listened to you when you told me to stay away from him. But, I thought I was protecting everyone when all of this started. Until it ended up with all of you getting hurt... because of me." She can feel her voice break off, throat tightening as she swallows the growing lump there. One hand reaching up to gently brush fingers against one of his cheeks. "Nothing will ever come between us again. I swear." Jason nuzzles into her palm slightly, a kiss placed to her palm as he sighs softly. "I know, I trust you. Just like you trust me. But, you can't keep letting this get to you. You're not the only one who messed up. I was the one who let my guard down and mouthed off too much to the wrong person. I'm just as much at fault in this as you are. But, we're not playing the blame game, alright?"
He glances down at her, leaning in to steal a lingering kiss as he shifts around a bit to sit her up as he grabs the laptop under one arm. The other scoops her up with a low grunt and she gasps softly as he tosses her over one of his shoulders, gritting his teeth from the slight tug of pain. "Jason! Come on, you have to be careful. You'll-" She's cut off as he shakes his head, shushing her softly. "I'm fine, I can handle it. You're not that heavy anyway. Stop fussing so much and relax." The pair enter their home and make themselves comfortable in bed once more. A yawn spills from Savannah like a little kitten as she curls up instinctively against Jason, who wraps an arm around her waist to pull her snug against him. A kiss placed to the crown of her head as he holds her close.
There's silence, though Savannah can feel Jason's gentle breathing at her back. He's still awake, so is she, but it's not for much longer. She can feel the exhaustion finally catching up as she shifts to face him properly. "I'm scared." Her voice is small, gentle, as she glances at him in the moonlight that spills into the bedroom. He scrubs a hand against his face, sitting up against the pillows with a gentle sigh. "I know, I can tell. I could tell when you were so mad you even dared to talk down to him. But, you're stronger than he is. Not just outside, but in here." He pokes her in the chest, where her heart lies within, and it causes her to spill a giggle from her lips. "You have to believe in yourself because so many of us believe in you. No matter what, I'll take care of you. But, you're going to make him regret ever messing with any of us. I know you will because I believe in you more than you could ever know. Now, enough talking about some shithead who isn't worth our time. You should get some sleep." He shifts, holding her loosely as they shift around comfortably. There's no back talk from Savannah as she leans over to steal a kiss from Jason, small smile on her lips as she lightly boops his nose with her index finger. "I love you." Her words are soft, barely above a whisper in her sleepy daze as she soon drifts off moments later. Jason left holding her as his lips twitch slightly at the corners in a small smile. "I love you too." He carefully pulls her hair out of her face and places a kiss upon her forehead before following suit shortly after her.
"Last week was not exactly how any of us expected things to happen." Savannah's voice fills the air as the camera pans over the scenery, behind the camera her brother, Asher, is keeping everything properly flowing. A young girl no older than two comes bounding over towards Savannah, both arms held open wide for her niece as she pulls her into her lap. Squealing fills the air and Savannah presses sloppy kisses across her niece's face before she focuses while Gemma settles in her lap. "I didn't really... know what came over me in my match with Levi. I guess I was just seeing... red. As ironic as that is. After everything I had gone through, having to witness what happened to Jason, having to deal with the fact that he did die that night. That it took everything for the doctors to bring him back. Seeing all of that blood, having his blood on my hands." She pauses, staring off into the distance as Gemma leaves her lap to run off and go play. She stares down at her hands, realizing that they're shaking now. She almost forgets that she's being filmed, stuck in her own head until Asher clears his throat soundly. She's pulled from her own head, swallows hard as she nods a bit.
"But, he's alive. He's got a few boo-boos. But, he's okay and he's breathing and God, I should be happy. I am happy. I am so fucking happy that he's alive and he's okay and that he's not going anywhere. But, there are so many things that have me on edge and I have a lot on my plate lately and I-" She cuts herself off, has to take a few calming breaths to keep herself from flying off the handle. She's still learning how to control her emotions, how to keep them bottled up, how to keep people from seeing how weak she feels deep down inside. But, she has always worn her heart on her sleeve and it's unhealthy to keep those feelings locked down tight. It only leads her down a path of self-destruction in the end. She shakes her head, brushes past the little episode she just had. Instead, legs cross as Gemma walks over with a flower, carefully tucking it behind one of Savannah's ears with a delighted little laugh. As Gemma takes off again, Savannah finally and properly focuses on the task at hand.
"But, it's not about him this week. It's about the match I'm in and how important it is for me to focus and prepare for this. I lost the Noble Championship against Jason and... the other one. But, it gave me a new purpose. It made me want to work harder at really focusing and remembering why I do all of this. While the gold and everything is very nice, I'm not in it for the gold. I'm doing this to show everyone that no matter how small and soft and fragile people believe you to be? You show them that you are a raging lioness and that no matter how many times they knock you down... You will always get back up. It's that simple, really. I've fallen more times than I can count. I've been made a fool. But, nothing will stop me from ensuring that I go out there and I do whatever I need to do to make sure I give it my all and nothing less. Don't get it twisted, I know how hard Slade works to make sure he comes out on top at the end. But, this isn't going to be a simple walk in the ballpark for him this time." She laughs at her own choice of words, Asher rolls his eyes from behind the camera as Savannah stretches out to lean back on her hands. She's silent for a few moments as that daffodil in her hair can be clearly seen.
"There are four people in this match, including myself. Four people who are going to do whatever it takes. Four people who are trying to come out with the same goal in the end. But, I don't care if I win or lose. That's the strange part, isn't it?" She sits up a bit, too anxious to merely sit still. "It's never been about win or lose for me. I make that abundantly clear each time I step foot in the ring. It's about making sure I go out there and I know that I give it my all. I don't care if I walk out champion at the end of this or not. That's what makes me different than everyone else. But, that doesn't mean I'm going to simply not put in any effort." She makes that clear, raises a finger towards the camera to solidify her point even further. She's on edge, that much is clear. But, it would be unfathomable for anyone to think that she would be anything less than. Especially given the circumstances of everything surrounding her lately.
"I have a lot on my plate, on my mind. But, I know how to keep my head on straight and do what I need to do to get the job done. It won't be an easy task, matches like this admittedly make it harder for me to focus. But, it'll be a fun enough match that we're all going to do what we can to make it worth it. For the fans, for everyone watching. Whatever it takes. I know I don't stand a chance compared to everyone else in this match. That just means I have to work even harder to make it worth everyone's time. Last week was just a simple taste of what I'm capable of. When I really have it set in my head to do something? I get the job done. Can any of you say the same thing?" She pauses, head tilting slightly as she stares at the camera. The sunlight moves over her, casting a golden hue shadow-like figure around her back and the outline of her body. It's an odd thing, but one that makes sense for someone named Savannah Sunshine.
"I'm keeping this short and sweet and to the point because I'm a busy gal today. But, don't get it twisted. I'm still one of the most gnarliest people around here. I'm still the same person I was when I first made my start here. I've got a bit of a stronger sense of what I need to do lately. But, like I said... By any means necessary. So, I wish you all the best of luck. Truly. Let's knock this damn thing outta the park." She grins, shooting a wink towards the camera before the scene fades to darkness a few moments later. The last thing seen being Savannah's smile.
