"I think they're doing it on purpose now - for they know that I've seen the wolf they attempt to hide in a sheep's clothing." Rolling vines and expansive trees litter a massive field, with countless fruits and vegetables growing from and around them. Lesley sits cross-legged at the bottom of a massive apple tree, Ascension Championship in his lap. Adora gently reaches up and caressing a ruby red apple with the tips of his fingers, seemingly lost in thought.
"A match dedicated to the Year of International Fruits and Vegetables would be something to comend, something innovative and important... were it not being promoted for evil intent. Just as last show was a farce, this week has followed suit with the money and violence starved demonic entity that is Fallout using a noble cause to mask ill intent. However, also as was the case on the previous Fallout, I will expose them for the fraudulent snakes they are, and continue to do so every single time they attempt to convince you that they are not the scum they truly are. Trust me... I will not let you, or them, forget that."
Plucking the apple from the tree with quick precision, Lesley takes a confident bite, and smiles to himself. "Now while the intentions were fowl, it does bring upon us a reminder of true beauty in life. Nature is the exact opposite of what Fallout presents to us, it's pure and wondrous and if we all took the time to appreciate the beauty of everyday life... then perhaps we wouldn't have such sickening events like the travesty that was Dead by Daylight." Lesley's eyes narrow and his smiles fades. "I know I have a match this week, and I have a lot to say about it, but I'd be remiss not to mention the revolting turn that Dead by Daylight took under the 'watchful' eye of not only Fallout management, but Project Honor as a whole.
Mmm yes, let's talk about how for months, masked assailants have been kidnapping, brainwashing and physically attacking numerous people with barely a peep from management. Let's talk about how Fallout not only thrives off of chaos and violence, but shamelessly promotes it. Let's talk about how last Fallout... in front of a live audience of captivated fans who came to this show to be entertained... a living, breathing, waking and talking human being was STABBED WITH A KNIFE. I wish this were but a bad dream that I could eventually wake from, but it's reality and it becomes more and more surreal as the days move on. What's next? Is someone going to be shot? Beheaded? Gutted? Where's the line? When will Project Honor - no, when will ANYONE wake up and stop this from happening? We don't need excuses. We don't need 'keeping a closer eye on it', we desperately need action. And until we get action? I don't think anyone should feel safe walking the halls of any Fallout locker room.
I know I don't." With a disgusted scowl and a shake of the head, Lesley continues. "As sick as it makes me to just move on, the everlasting clock of impending doom that is Fallout keeps ticking, and I must continue my righteous attempt to stop those hands from rotating, and do so as quickly as I possibly can. This week I find myself defending my Ascension Championship against three different opponents. Something I've grown to expect, though as tiresome as it is to continuously have the deck stacked against me, it's an attack I knew would come. I saw it happen to Winterborn, I saw it happen to Destruction, and it's the exact game that Fallout has been playing with all of its 'employees'. They make you scratch, claw, bleed for a single shred of an opportunity, and once you're able to get your bloodied fingers on it... they force you into their disgusting, idiotic rigmarole to keep it. But I not only survived their silly Dead by Daylight charade, but I walked out against all odds holding my Ascension Championship held high - and I'll do it again this week.
First and foremost, all of my opponents are still on the newer side, but frankly it's refreshing to see some fresh blood flow in to hopefully start cleansing the old veins of Fallout. Slade Castle is first up, and honestly Slade is one of the ones I'm looking forward to seeing up close and personal the most. Slade certainly isn't winning any awards for originality, a troubled youth who found their way into professional wrestling and strives off of conflict and violence and so on and so forth. The thing that draws me towards Slade is simple - he has incredible, incredible potential. From the minimal time I've had watching him, he is more than capable in the ring, and possess a ring IQ I haven't seen out of most. Sure he's a little unstable, but I also think there's a methodical, cerebral method to his madness. And I believe, as I do with all fellows souls but especially with Slade, that he'd make for an impeccable sibling. With the right guidance and someone to show him the way, I know The Light could be what truly unlocks all of that hidden potential.
Angelo Caito also intrigues me, though I do believe he thinks a bit highly of himself. The modest nature I'm which Slade conducts himself is the pollar opposite of Caito, who will be the first to tell you just how 'great' he is. I will say, Caito comes into this match with a victory under his belt which is more than our fellow opponents, but I've yet to see anything that has proven his words to be true. That being said, I am by no means downplaying Angelo as a competitor. On the contrary, I'm incredibly impressed with their in ring ability, as well as their willingness to express their opinions. While I do think Angelo exaggerates and twists words to suit his vision, I applaud anyone who sees wrong in a company or anything like that and is willing to point it out. Again, Angelo is somebody who could do so much good in this world of ours, were he to open his eyes, mind and spirit to the teachings of The Light.
And finally, Bianca McBride. I was able to see exactly what Bianca was about last Fallout. Truth be told, Bianca showed a ton of heart and I more than appreciate her fighting spirit. While I don't agree with the aggressive, over-the-top attitude, I can't say that she didn't help carry her team. Though they were never going to force me to relinquish this championship nor a victory, her team wouldn't have faired nearly as well were it not for her. Of course her and Thorberg didn't help each other out, hence why their team fared the way they did, but I think it's safe to say between Bianca and Levi that was the entirety of the team. Now, I'll be interested to see if she can keep the momentum rolling this week. We've seen plenty of competitors come in hot and fizzle out just. Like. That." Lesley snaps his fingers and smirks.
"This match will be incredibly difficult, as three of the hungriest newcomers to Fallout are all aiming at me, and my beautiful beautiful championship. I have no qualms defending this gold against all comers, for I am a competitor at heart. This sport, it can be glorious yet again - once we purify it. I'm offering you all an out. You say I spit fallacy and untruths, but all I'm here to do is fix this issue. This issue... That is Fallout. And if you don't see the virus that Fallout has become? ESPECIALLY after someone was... and I will endlessly reiterate... LITERALLY STABBED... if you don't admit I'm right and that this is a massive danger...
Than you're part of the problem." Lesley flips the loose hair from infront of his eyes, and glares into the camera as we fade out.
