Bianca had always known she wanted to be a professional wrestler. It was in her blood. Her grandfather and her father were both in the business and she knew it was fate that she would be as well. While her father and grandfather always supported her. Bianca’s mother never did. Her mother wanted Bianca to take over her business and become a business woman. That was never going to happen. Bianca knew what she wanted to do. She was going to be a wrestler and there wasn’t a force on Earth that would stop her but her mother would try, oh she would try.
Bianca leaned back in her chair, she was sitting outside of a local coffee shop and sitting across from her was Bianca’s mother. She has asked her daughter to come have a cup of coffee. Bianca knew why she was asked to come here.
“Bianca.” Said her mother with a serious look in her eyes.
“No mother. I know why you asked me here and I’m not going to stop what I love to do.”
“Really? You think you can have a great life with this silly nonsense? What happens if you can’t walk anymore or if you become brain dead? Wrestling isn’t for a lady such as yourself.”
Bianca slammed her fists on the table, causing her mother to jump a little.
“I don’t understand what your problem is with me wanting to do what I want to do. I know you hate father but that’s not my fucking problem. I was always going to be a professional wrestler.”
“Bianca, you are my daughter and you will listen to me when I tell you to let this go and come work for me. You’ll be safe and you won’t have to worry about money or long days and nights on the road.”
Bianca held up her hand to stop her mother from speaking anymore.
“I’m done talking about it, mother. It is my duty as the granddaughter and daughter of two great wrestlers to carry on the name of McBride in the business. I don’t expect you to understand but I have a chance to do something I’ve dreamt about since I was a little girl and maybe, just maybe, there is a kid out there who sees me in the ring and they are inspired to follow their dreams, whatever that may be.”
Bianca stands up from her seat and looks into her mother's eyes.
“Don’t ever ask me to come work for you again. The answer will always be no.”
With that, Bianca turned from her mother and walked away, a single tear rolling down her cheek.
The scene opens up to Bianca sitting in the lady’s locker room. She was lacing up her boots. She seemed to be getting ready for her match coming up. As she was getting ready, she began to speak.
“You know, it’s taken me many years to get here. Sure I’ve been wrestling in the indies but this is my first professional match. I have a lot to prove. I come from a wrestling family that has been doing this since the 1920’s. This will be one of the greatest challenges of my career. I was raised in an old school environment. You go in that ring, but all you have in your body and soul and kick some ass, making sure that the fans get their money’s worth and that’s what I’m going to do.”
Bianca starts to put on her elbow pads.
“No matter what. Win, lose or tie. The fans will get what they paid for. I can promise you that. I will become one of the best here in this company and I will earn it. I will earn that title and I will earn the fan’s love and support. You will see. Tonight I prove I belong here. I will rise to the top. Just wait and see.”
Bianca winks into the camera as the scene fades to black.
