Present in Slade Castle’s Training Facility
The camera fades into the scene, where you can see Slade Castle, practicing his strikes on a punching bag. Blow after blow, Slade continues throwing punches at a steady fast speed, not only training his strike speed and power, but his cardio and endurance at the same time. The lights are dim as Slade is getting used to working in darkened conditions.

Slade Castle is in a disheveled building, with an unknown number of enemy soldiers waiting outside. It’s about 2 AM and he is surrounded by members of his squad all awaiting further orders. They were outnumbered, and any chance of support was a little more than 30 minutes out. Jester, the funnyman of the group, starts to lose composure while
Brickson, the gentle giant, looks toward Castle.
Brickson: We can’t stay here much longer. They’re gonna start getting impatient and we are outgunned.
Jester begins to walk across the room and looks through a small crack in the wall.
Slade Castle: Alright everyone calm down. We have all entrances covered and back-up will arrive shortly. We can’t start getting antsy now, we are going to be fine.
The building grows quiet as everyone begins to calm down with Slade’s reinforcement of confidence. The building is a post office in a small complex. The squad was sent in on a simple mission to contain and secure a building used as a mail depot for the |REDACTED| organization. As time passes, the team is met continuously with radio silence. Any sort of communication they once had at the start of the mission had long been cut off.
Slade Castle: Alright, I’m gonna look around and see if I can find a way to get our comms back on. You all sit tight till I’m back.
The members of his squad initially protest this decision but quickly stand down and allow Slade to leave. Slade finds a small hole in the wall of the building that will lead into an alleyway outside. As Slade goes through he stays focused and unafraid of what he may find outside. It was about 15°F or -9°C. Slade finds an unlocked door to a neighboring building. As Slade makes his way down the hall of what appeared to be an office building of some sort, he heard steps in the next room coming towards him. Slade hid around the corner and waited for the gunmen to pass. As he heard two sets of steps pass a third stopped outside his door. The door creaked open. Without any hesitation or fear, Slade grabbed the gunman from behind and began choking him out. The fully geared man struggled as best he could to get out of the hold but Slade never let up. He reached for Slade’s face and clawed at his arms, but Slade’s grip only tightened until the man had lost consciousness.
Slade relaxed before shutting the door and observing the man he had just choked out. That’s just what he was to Slade. A man. Slade feared no man, for in his mind there was no man who could best him in combat. Slade wasn’t the prey, they were. He had an emblem on his chest. The symbol of the |REDACTED| organization. When Slade went through his pockets he found nothing of importance. Slade marched on, continuing to look for a way to fix their comms.
Present
Slade stops and looks into the camera.
Slade Castle: So, here I am… Project Honor, Fallout, whatever and wherever it is I seem to have ended up, and this is the first fight I’m in. Not even a fight really, it’s a glorified version of tag or hide and seek. That's the kind of thing you’re into Jason? You see, I don’t know you, and for a first meeting you ain’t really gonna get to know me well either. This isn’t what I thought I signed up for and I’m not gonna hide. Now in a situation like this some might be scared, but why should I be scared of some punk with a bat? Because I can’t fight back?
Slade pauses and looks at the ground while shaking his head. A smirk comes across his face.
Slade Castle: The only people I would ever fear are those I respect. Swingin at people who can’t fight back? I don’t respect that. There ain’t many people that I do. I’ve been in situations in my life where I can’t expect an even fight. Hell, there have been times where my hands have been tied behind my back and the other guy still ended up being the one on the floor. So where does that leave us? Well you got three other guys to worry about for one.

Sarah Green: So why is it you think you need to be alone?
Slade Castle: I don’t think I need to be anything. I just don’t get out much. Didn’t realise there was a problem with that. I get along with people just fine.
Sarah Green: Well, do you have any friends you talk to? You’ve never mentioned any.
Slade Castle: Sure, I got, uh… the guy who, um… books my fights...
Sarah Green: And how is your boxing going?
Slade Castle: It’s going alright I suppose. Although, they said they ain’t gonna book me for a while. The cowards are all too scared to step in the ring with me from the sound of it… But my manager sent me to this new place. New job really, pro wrestling. They call the place Project Honor.
Sarah Green: Is that what you want though, Slade? Would you rather stay in your boxing club?
Slade Castle: You know, if I wasn’t court ordered to show up, you realise I wouldn’t right? This whole therapist shtick? I don’t buy it. That’s all you do is sit there and question me. Why in the actual hell am I still doin this? It’s been two years and those fuckers still don’t think I can manage on my own. What a load of shit.
Sarah Green: Then how about we change the subject and talk about your new job. That's exciting right? I’m happy you’ve found something a bit more stable for yourself.
Slade Castle: Yeah I guess, whatever.
Sarah Green: Have you met your new coworkers? How do you feel about them? Made any new friends?
Slade Castle: Of course, already back to the fuckin questions... Haven’t really had the opportunity to introduce myself but I will soon. Gonna have to work with a few of them here soon. I don't get the feeling it's gonna be a friendly environment though. As a matter of fact, it’s gonna get real heated, real fast.
Present
Slade lifts his head and cocks it to the side.
Slade Castle: First we got this Rapture guy. Far as I can tell just some freak. I can work with that though, as long as he stays outta my way. Maybe draw Jason’s attention away from me at the very least.
Slade begins to circle the camera as it slowly pans around to keep him centered.
Slade Castle: Havoc… another kind of a freak all together. But this guy seems to have a little more to him at least. He can defend himself and he’s proven that much. I don’t know if we will get along and honestly I don’t care. Whatever agenda you may or may not have outside of this event, leave it aside and let's get one thing straight. You ain’t gonna screw me over and I don’t care if we are on a team cause nobody is safe. This may work better if we work together, but if that isn’t an option then let’s just not work against each other, yeah? So stay outta my way and you’ll be fine.
Slade stops and turns toward the camera once again.
Slade Castle: Lastly we got Julius. Now Juslius is a guy I know. Pretty damn good in most forms of combat he’s been in. Used to be a regular at my fights. Now he was just another sick dude getting his kicks and making money, but you know what? He’s alright. Now that may be someone I can work with here. Someone who can speak the same language as me. Don’t get me wrong though, we may be on a team now, but he aint stopping me either. If it comes to it, his ass can hit the curb just like the other two. There isn’t no one stopping me, and after this is done and over, I’m gonna owe all of you an ass kicking, so be careful whose toes you're stepping on when we’re in there.
Slade approaches the camera now getting real close.
Slade Castle: So Jason, I wouldn’t get too cocky about your odds, cause while we can’t fight back, there are four of us, and we are some bad dudes. Be thankful you’re the one with the bat for now, but I hope you know, down the line, a receipt is owed and I don’t plan to let it slide.
The camera fades out as Slade turns away to continue training.
