To say her career in Project: Honor had been anything less than successful would have been a lie. She had been fighting tooth and nail to earn respect and to make her mark upon this company. In her debut for the company, she had been put into a match against none other than Pat The Postman and Tyler Bradford. A match where she had inevitably come out on top. But, the official debut she had on Fallout had been one that she had been most proud of. Even if things hadn’t turned out the way she wanted them to. A match against Drago Santiago, a man who had been not only deadly, but absolutely hellbent on making her suffer. In the end, she had toppled the man to come out the victor… with a little bit of help from Jason. Of course, she could have handled things on her own. But, it wasn’t as if she had asked for his help. She was always one to look an opportunity in the face and take it. By any means necessary.
In the end of it all, she had nearly wound up with a broken arm. That was how things worked in most cases. Someone used her to get to someone else, put her into harm's way to prove a point. It was an endless cycle and one she had grown tired of long ago. Then, came the Girl Scout Cookie Table Battle Royal. A match in which she had caused quite a stir, but ended up taking a fireball to the face courtesy of Pyro. A loss that she had taken on the chin and moved on from. That was how she was, always seeing the bright side in even the darkest of times. It had been a learning experience and she had since learned and grown from it.
Though, the first time she had ever stepped foot into a ring with Kayla Richards had been the following show. A four-way match against Kayla, Alice and Elena. Two women who she knew more than anything would stop at nothing to ensure their own victory. A match that had shown how serious Savannah was about things around here. In the end, her own frustrations had gotten the better of her. Though, she felt a bit proud of herself for not giving up and for inevitably not allowing Kayla a victory. Even at the cost of her own win, she still felt like she was on top of the world. Anything to deter Kayla’s path of victory. Round one in what would soon become a seemingly never ending cycle.
Disputed Territory came shortly after, leaving her a shot to become a contender for the Noble Championship. The same night in which Kayla had lost the Noble Championship to Pixie Sloane. In the end, Savannah had come out on top over HAVOC and Valkyrie. Putting her all into the possibility of gold at the end of it all. Something she had more than proven to be worthy of after the path she was on so far. Though, others may have believed she was not worthy of holding any gold whatsoever. But, not everyone’s opinions mattered in her mind. Only those who truly mattered.
Round two involving Kayla Richards came in the form of a six-person tag team match the following Fallout. Savannah was not very ecstatic about the opportunity, but it was another chance to prove herself. A chance to let the world truly know how serious she was. But, her momentum had been slowed during the match. During an argument with Pixie, who had been one of her tag partners, Kayla had taken her own actions out on Savannah. Sending her face first into the ring post, though it had been a moment that Pixie had taken herself as well. Everyone on the outside had been taken out, while Julius had put an end to the match. Round two had not gone as Savannah would have liked it to, but it was a worthy challenge.
Round three, in what Savannah had more than hoped would be her final time stepping in the ring with Kayla for a while, had turned out to be something more than that. A triple threat. One not only involving Savannah and Kaylah, but Jason as well. In the end, Savannah had given it her all and had been the one to come out on top. A victory where she had taken Kayla out to become the victor of the match. Though, it wasn’t without trying to take Jason down as well. In this business, she knew that personal relationships had to be put behind you when it came to being inside the ring together. So, that was exactly what she had done. Though, Jason had been left with a bit of a shock when Savannah had attempted to put an end to him.
And finally, at the previous Fallout, Savannah had managed to come out on top in various challenges against one Pixie Sloane. In the end, she had been awarded the Noble Championship. But, another opportunity arose shortly after. A triple threat match that would be the end all be all. The winner of the match would not only become the Noble Champion, but the Prime Champion as well. It had been something Savannah had not been expecting, but something she welcomed nonetheless. Which left us where we were now. Savannah, Jason, and Kayla. Hopefully facing off against one another for the final time for a long while.
It had left Savannah with too much time on her hands. Too much time to train, to prepare, to truly make sure she was ready for what was going to be there come GGG. She had a good head on her shoulders, but no matter what anyone else thought… She had gotten here on her own merit. Redd had been kind enough to offer her a helping and guiding hand above all else. But, she had put in the work to make sure the world never would mistake her for a joke ever again. Though, not everyone took her seriously either.
“Well, here we are! Gold, Guts, and Glory. An opportunity hanging above all of our heads to come out the real winner in the end of it all. There’s a lot I could say, but I’ve already said more than enough regarding both of my opponents in the past. But, if I really have to waste my time and your time…” She sighed forlornly, blowing a piece of curly red hair from her face as she sat up from the floor of the gym she had been sprawled out upon. A gentle grunt as she crossed her legs properly with her water bottle placed into her lap. Hands clapped together soundly, before dropping entirely as she nodded a bit.
“This has been a never ending cycle. Something that I am more than ready to put an end to. It’d be nice to have new competition to worry about instead of people I’ve already faced a few times too many. But, this time I have more than enough to fight for. I have more than enough to defend and I’m not leaving until I come out on top.” She places her shiny Noble Championship in her lap as she glances down at it. There’s a reflection of a small grin on her lips as she soon glances back towards her cellphone as it records. Eyes rolling a bit in annoyance as she brings up the first opponent that comes to mind.
“You can say the same old response, Kayla. Doesn’t make it any less true than it was the first few times. I’m Jason’s cumrag, Redd is the reason I got to where I am. I’m nothing more than a joke. I don’t deserve the chances I’ve been given. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I mean, seriously? When will you get over yourself and start facing the facts? You’re nothing more than a broken record and you could do with getting some new material. I have nothing to prove to you, though it’s going to be a blast seeing the look on your face when I’m the one walking out with not one, but two pieces of gold at the end of all of this. Wouldn’t that just really make your blood boil? The constant annoyance of seeing this pretty face more than you’d like? Oh, I can just see it now.” A smirk crosses her lips as she sighs softly. “I know you’re willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top. But, you need to start taking me far more seriously. This isn’t a game for me and I have never treated it as such. I’m not some delicate little bitch who’s afraid to take a hit and I can damn sure hit back three times harder. This is not going to be an easy win for you, nor have I ever made things easy for you when it comes to stepping in the ring to me. Though, you really should step your game up. I think you’re starting to get a little stale.” She shoots a wink towards the camera, knees pulled up to her chest as she shakes her head a bit.
Chin rests against her knees before she exhales audibly. “And, Jason. The current Prime Champion. The King. Yada, yada.” She waves a hand dismissively, though the small smile on her lips has her rolling her eyes once more. “I know you want this more than anything. You want to come out on top and ensure you keep what you’ve worked so hard to earn. But, I want this too. Maybe even more than you or Kayla wants it. I’ve busted my ass for so long, only to have the door slammed in my face over and over again. Only to have disrespect thrown my way over and over again. But, I won’t make the same mistakes again… and I truly hope you won’t either.” She pauses, licks over her lips in trepidation. “You didn’t take me seriously the last time. I don’t think you’ve ever taken me seriously, even though you know fully well what I am capable of. I’m going to stop at nothing to make sure I take not just you, but Kayla down and out as well. I can’t rely on anyone but myself this time. I don’t need anyone to hold my hand or be there to help me ensure victory. I am a capable wrestler and there is nothing stopping me from making sure you are taken out of the equation if it means I get my chance to have multiple pieces of gold in my hands.”
She inhales a breath, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. She seems to be a bit lost in her own thoughts. Though, those thoughts soon come tumbling from her lips. “I’m tired of being looked at as some silly little girl. I might not be as big as the rest of you, but I can damn sure hold my own and shut down any doubts anyone has about me. I’m not doing this to prove myself to anyone. I’m doing this because I have to and because I need to. Nothing is going to stand in the way of me getting what I have worked so hard to fight for. Not Jason, not Kayla, and not anyone else who wants to get in my way of my path to glory. At the end of the day, I am my own person and I am the only person I can depend on. That has been made abundantly clear over the years with so many having turned their back on me.” She stands to her feet soon after, stretching with a gentle groan and a low hum. As she soon approaches her cellphone, she picks it up to hold it in front of her face properly.
“It’s about time the good girl starts really showing how bad she can be. I’m not going to make this easy, I’ve never made anything easy for anyone who steps into the ring with me. At the end of all of this, one person will come out with all of the glory and the gold. But, that person will be me. It has to be me. By any means necessary. Even if that means putting my own body on the line and destroying myself to get what I want. I’ll do just that.” She closes her eyes for a moment, before a gentle grin crosses her lips. “Good luck to Jason and Kayla… They’ll need it.” She ends the recording, scene fading into darkness a few seconds later leaving Savannah to her own thoughts at the end of it all.
