GIMMICK: Shelldrake is the Kraken, able to adapt and morph his style to match what is required to win in whatever environment. Be it pure grappling, hardcore weapon fests, UWF rules or multiman chaos. This hybrid combatant will never truly be out of his depth. Seeing himself as a Swiss army knife of a wrestler, this versatile competitor supplements his wealth of strategies with occasional bending of the rules. He will take note of his opponent's preference, and use his aptitude with the opposite style to purposefully aggravate and goad them into mistakes. When combined with his unusually tall and lanky frame compared to his weight class, Shelldrake makes for a slippery and unpredictable opponent. Likewise, his view of diversity has also been seen as a lack of commitment to any one discipline of wrestling, met with both praise and resentment within the industry.

Beginning his career on the british indies, Swindle says that he didn't learn his craft in any one dojo or wrestling school. Instead, build his repertoire and knowledge through fire, and facing as many different opponents as possible. Where several promotions will hold the staple names, the top guys, the ones that stick around, Swindle is from a different ilk. While this push to diversify himself developed a unique skillset and ring awareness against multiple styles, he is relatively unknown name on the larger stages of the wrestling world.
Despite the desire of everyone in the industry to one day reach the top, this travelling schedule had given Shelldrake the label of a solid journeyman wrestler to supplement your card, able to work against pretty much any wrestler from anywhere. However, none of this translated to wins, or staying power, or even that much name recognition, as he would already be off to the next town, or the next country. For someone to have wrestled everywhere in the past, there is a surprisingly air of mystery and strangeness about the British wrestler.
For a learning rookie who would have been thankful for the very opportunity to wrestle for a hotdog and a handshake, this handicapped status of never staying around to build momentum was fine for Swindle. He knew he wasn't exactly the complete package, fresh out of a developmental position. Neither did he have the incredible, adonis physique of many that shared his height. He was a self-made man through literal blood, sweat and tears. However, has his experience slowly grew, and he became a wrestler worthy of note, the travelling wasn't doing it anymore.
Being content with that life had grown into a deeper desire to finally cut his teeth somewhere. Break the ice, and show to whatever promotion became his target, that he was there to stay. His growing usage of underhanded tactics and weaponry mixed in with a startling technical prowess and deceptive strength from his unusual proportions finally garnered attention. Nothing quite like 'bending' the rules against an honourable opponent, or cleanly outwrestling a more brutish individual....or a lot of the time, a little bit of everything. Project: Honor housed some of the very best talents all under one roof. Of every style, size and creed. This would be where the Hybrid Hunter would make his mark.
