As the beginning intro to “The Plan” by Travis Scott rings out through the arena’s P.A. System as the house lights simply bring it’s focus towards the entrance curtain, the crowd - though not visible - are on their feet and awaiting the arrival of The Captain, the voice of Travis Scott being heard as a figure steps through the curtain with their head held down.

Last time I did the whippets (yeah), last time I live reverse (yeah, yeah, ooh)
Pour the brown, hit the reverend (yeah), last time I hit your crib (yeah)
Last time there was no tenants”
All of the house lights within the arena begin to flash, like a strobe light, as the beat dropped through the first verse. The figure continued to stand in the same position as he was beforehand, taking slow steps forward until he’s just at the edge of the stage from the ramp that leads to the ring below. A slight movement from the figure as he brings his head into a viewable position and shows his face. Daniel Ackerman had arrived.

The One Winged Angel began to make his way down the ramp, slow nonchalant steps as he looked out to the crowd and the spotlight following his every move, and with these steps he take- he gives the opponent time to evaluate what they’re to expect. Daniel makes it to the ring side area and again, continuing his nonchalant walk, he circles around the ring until he’s made a full path around before hopping onto the apron where the hard-cam is facing.

Hear the red and blue outside, I think our option's up
I recrossed it 'round the map, I had to line it up
I be swervin' on the waves, it's like a line of us (Yeah, yeah)”
Pointing up to the hard-cam and then back to himself as if telling it to zoom in on just himself, Ackerman gently steps into the ring and looks across the ring to his opponent, giving off the cocky smile we’re used to seeing resting on his face before heading into the corner and tapping the point of his right foot on the ring mat as Holly Perez gives him his introduction.
HOLLY PEREZ: [Introducing first/And (his/her/their)] opponent… Wrestling out of Waterford City, County Waterford, Ireland and weighing in tonight at one hundred and ninety-eight pounds… he is “The One Winged Angel”... DANIEL AAAAACKERRRRRMAAAAAANNNNN!!!
Upon hearing the name of The One Winged Angel, Daniel climbs to the second rope and with the spotlight shining down onto him, pulling his black leather jacket open to show his pectoral muscles with that same cocky smirk on his face, the hard-cam picks up him mouthing something off but with the fans cheering loudly and the music continuing to play over, his voice becomes inaudible. Ackerman drops down to the ring mat with a loud thud as he turns to face his opponent, bringing his hands behind his back and once again, he mouths something that’s inaudible, but this time it’s right into the face of the opponent just to rile him up.

BIOGRAPHY
Daniel MacBride, better known by his ring name of Daniel Ackerman, is an Irish professional wrestler born in Waterford City, County Waterford, Ireland before moving to Sacramento, California after his time in Japan. As a child, he was always a fan of professional wrestling and since then, he wanted to be that kind of professional wrestler -- a well known around the world one of a kind talent that outshines everyone -- but since then, he realizes that it’s not as easy as it might have seen at first when he was only eight years old. Daniel grew up without a mother figure in his life, after his mother passed away after giving birth to his younger brother, Tre, and was always one to look up to the stars in the hope that he’s making her proud wherever she might be. Daniel was raised by his father, and it’s because of his father that he began to be hooked into the sport of professional wrestling.
Though his younger years weren’t as perfect as he might have wanted them to be, his professional wrestling career began when he was just sixteen years of age and being trained by the many Irish professional wrestlers that paved the way for many back then. Daniel, as described by many, was someone who fit into the category of ‘once in a lifetime talent’ and it’s been his most claim to fame since then. The Irish independent scene has been bleak before Daniel made his appearance, but since then, it’s been red hot and seeing it’s better years as of late. Daniel, as he’d like to say, paved the way for how the Irish independent scene has been on fire since he came along and if anyone asked around, they’d say he was telling the truth.
Since leaving the Irish independent scene back in August of 2014, he began to work dates around the United Kingdom, having only been there a handful of times during his professional wrestling days. This was the start of his ‘true’ professional wrestling career and one where many would look to if they wanted a day for his debut into the sport. Having wrestled for the big name independent promotions around the United Kingdom, he gained a pretty large following and kept that moniker of ‘the once in a lifetime talent’ in the same sentence as his name. This would be where Daniel adopted the ring name of ‘Daniel Ackerman’, named after the Attack on Titan character named Levi Ackerman. Four years he wrestled up and down the independent scene in the United Kingdom and having wrestled a handful of times across the world like the United States, France, Germany, and even Spain. He was the Technical Magician that everyone knew about throughout Europe, harnessing the skill and prowess of a technical wrestler.
After the said four years, he moved to Japan in the Spring of 2018 and being only twenty-two years of age, he jumped straight into the wrestling dojos of Japan to harness more technicality of their ‘Strong Style’ abilities. He’d soon be a graduate from the dojo after a year and a half, entering the Japanese wrestling promotions around the Autumn of 2019. Through here, he’d wrestle more dates for the United States and was a mainstay in the Australian independent scene. Through this time, he gained the name of "The One Winged Angel", as a remembrance to the sacrifices he made to his life and how far it's gotten him. His years of experience gained him a following wherever he went and that same moniker of ‘once in a lifetime talent’ soon followed but he realized that back home, in the United Kingdom and Ireland, they seemingly forgot about him with some of the newer talent arriving and paving a way that only they could. Daniel wasn’t pissed off, it never got under his skin, but he was proud that the road he created has made many great wrestlers and stars. His name wasn’t forgotten but his presence, his aura, his skill was deeply missed.
Soon came the new year and with it, he knew he’d have to make some big changes to his career. He’s wrestled all over the world, across the globe, and has experience in almost every single continent there is. He knew he’d have to sign onto a large promotion and many have been on his eye. June 2021 came around and after months of consideration and well-placed thought put into what he wanted to do next, he signed to Project: Honor. Hoping that this would be the right step in the direction that makes all the years he’s trained for worth it. Naming himself "The Captain", as another nod to the Attack on Titan character, he hopes that his time here brings him the fame and the glory he once sought as a child. He didn't want to lead, he didn't want to become the likes of those who religiously embraced the 'monarchy' shtick, but he wanted to remain as himself. He knew himself that there was only one Daniel Ackerman and that there'll never be another man like him.
Diving into his personal life some more, he’s an openly bisexual man and although he’s no partner or love interest with him, he’s always kept his love life’s privacy to a minimum. Daniel has a history of knee problems and although he does not sport the brace needed, he is mainly seen with it outside of the ring, the main reason as to why he doesn’t wear it inside of the ring was “because he doesn’t want to show the weakness to his opponents, leaving it on him was like a massive target for him and has been something many have attempted or attacked in the past to do more physical harm onto his knee”, as said by Daniel during an interview in 2020. Daniel has explained that although he’s won many championships throughout the years on the independent scene, his time in Project: Honor would be a fresh start to his career, and wiping away all of the known championship wins he has to his record.
