Prologue
Eivor Varinsdottir was only nine years old when her father Varin and mother Rosta were killed. Kjotve The Cruel is also known as Kjotve The Rich who was the father of Gorm Kjotvesson was behind Eivor’s parents' deaths. Eivor was told to stay in the great hall when Kjotve The Cruel started to raid. Varin grabbed his ax along with his wife Rosta grabbing hers too as they headed out to fight. Eivor didn’t want to stay put, even though he was only nine years old, he thought he was ready even if his parents didn’t believe so.
While that battle was going on, Eivor managed to get out of the great hall. He headed over to a cart where he saw an ax. On his way there he is blocked by one of the raiders who ends up with an ax in their head. Eivor was saved by his mother Rosta who picks him up and moves him to cover behind the cart. That’s when she retrieves her ax from the face of the raider in time to chop the hand off another raider trying to attack her. Eivor looked down at the man, seeing the pain in his eyes as he laid there.
Rosta tells Eivor to stay where he was and heads to help fend off the raiders as she climbs through a window. Eivor sees one of the raiders follow his mom and notices a sword laying on the floor. He walks over to the sword trying to lift it but it’s too heavy as he drags it, finally getting to the window he manages to lift the sword enough for one of the raiders to be kicked onto it by his mother. It’s then that the fighting stops as they hear shouting from a familiar voice as Rosta and Eivor head out.
Once they step outside they see Kjotve The Cruel who says to Varin that if he lays down his ax that he’ll allow everyone to live. So Varin lays down his ax even with Rosta telling him not to and he should’ve listened to her. As soon as Varin dropped the ax, Kjotve The Cruel cut Varin’s throat. Rosta runs towards Kjotve only for one of the raiders to throw an ax hitting her right in the back. This is when the fighting starts again and Sigurd comes galloping in on a horse and manages to grab Eivor. Sigurd and Eivor dodge fire from archers as they gallop away on the horse.
Over the winters Eivor grows up alongside Sigurd as Sigurd’s father Styrbjorn adopted him after Eivor’s parents were killed. Many have raids have happened and Kjotve had taken a lot of The Raven Clan’s land. All Eivor was set on was getting revenge on Kjotve and that was his plan whatever it took.
Scene One
The scene opens up in Rygjafylke with Eivor meeting Sigurd Styrbjornsson at the dock. Sigurd had just returned home from two winters away. Eivor and Sigurd had a lot of catching up to do. The catching up had to wait though, Sigurd and Eivor had to go see their father Styrbjorn. Once they’d both got to the Great Hall, Eivor and Sigurd approach their father.
“Father, I have brought back riches from my travels but I hear that things aren’t good back here with matters concerning Kjotve The Cruel.” Sigurd was focused on his father.
“Eivor has been in your ear again hasn’t he?” Styrbjorn replies, glancing over at Eivor who just rolls his eyes.
“Father, whether Eivor told me or not wouldn’t have mattered. It is a problem we have to deal with. You can’t just brush it under the rug, no matter how much you try to.” Sigurd always had Eivor’s back, and it was mutual on Eivor’s part too.
“Styrbjorn, As Sigurd said, it’s something we can’t just ignore, and something I won’t be ignoring.” Eivor says with conviction.
“Eivor, let’s just celebrate Sigurd’s return first before we deal with other matters. Speaking of which, we have a feast to attend in the great hall.”
“Sounds good to me.”
“Me too.”
Styrbjorn, Sigurd, and Eivor head off into the great hall to attend the feast. The two strangers that Sigurd had returned home with hadn’t gone unnoticed. They’d joined everyone in the great hall for the feast. Sigurd had taken Eivor to go meet these strangers who Sigurd had met on his travels.
Sigurd introduces the strangers to Eivor. “Eivor, I’d like you to meet Basim and Hytham.”
Basim, Hytham, and Eivor all introduce themselves and get acquainted better as Basim gives Sigurd the nod to give Eivor the gift that Sigurd had brought back for him. It was a hidden blade, some would say it’s a weapon but to Basim and Hytham and the rest who are a part of The Hidden One’s, they’d consider it more of a tool.
Hytham definitely doesn’t approve of the fact that Eivor was being allowed to have a hidden blade, something that was considered sacred to The Hidden Ones. Basim reassured him that it was fine, with Basim being Hytham’s mentor, Hytham had to accept it even though he didn’t like it. Sigurd then leads Eivor, Basim, and Hytham outside to where Eivor can get some training from Basim.
End of scene!
Scene Two
Eivor has to go meet Sigurd, Basim and Hytham at the docks. On his way to the docks, Eivor notices a scout of Kjotve’s. He manages to sneak up on him and uses the hidden blade to kill the scout. Eivor decides to scout the area to look out to see if anyone else is about. With the help of Sýnin, Eivor’s Raven, he manages to find the nearby makeshift camp of the scouts.
That leads to Eivor dispatching the other two scouts that are at the camp. He jumps down, assassinating the first one, and throws his ax at the other one. He then retrieves his ax before heading down to meet Sigurd, Basim, and Hytham. Eivor lets them know about the scout situation he had to deal with and offers to go check to see if there were any more.
Basim ends up sending Hytham to check and lets him know where to meet them. Sigurd, Eivor, and Basim board the longship and head to deal with Kjotve. Once they get to the fort where Kjtove was, they end up meeting up with Hytham who is there. That’s when it’s decided that Eivor will fight Kjotve even though Hytham of The Hidden One’s was there wanting to assassinate Kjotve.
They’re joined by King Harald there who offers them the aid of his troops and his uncle Guthorm the Wise. King Harald heads back to Alrekstad as The Raven Clan lead by Sigurd and Eivor along with Basim and Hytham fight their way through to the gates of the fort where Kjotve, his son Gorm and some of their men were. This is when Kjotve makes his way out of the fort gates to meet them. This is where he demands that Sigurd face him one on one but instead Eivor steps forward.
The fight goes back and forth between Eivor and Kjotve, neither one getting the upper hand. Kjotve then being somewhat of a good grappler, gets hold of Eivor and slams him down into a pit. This is when Hytham tries to jump down and assassinate Kjotve only for Hytham to end up being thrown to the floor hard.
Eivor and Kjotve get back to fighting one another, Eivor getting the upper hand until Kjotve manages to knock his aze out of his hand. What Kjotve wasn’t aware of though, is that Eivor had a hidden blade too. So as he leans down to pick Eivor up, Kjotve has his throat slit thanks to Eivor using his hidden blade.
Basim is checking on Hytham as Sigurd and Eivor are greeted by Gorm from the top of the wall of the fort. He refuses to come down which ends up in Sigurd, Eivor, and the rest of The Raven Clan storming the fort. They battle their way through, finally with Eivor reaching Gorm who after a bit of a fight, ends up getting away and running off like a coward.
End of scene!
Scene Three
After everything that had gone on, we rejoin Sigurd, Eivor, and Basim in Alrekstad where all clans had been invited to join an Althing organized by himself, where he proposed the clans unite under his banner. Sigurd, Eivor, and Basim are in the Tavern when Sigurd heads off to go meet Harald. That’s when Basim lets Eivor know that he can teach him a few things to be able to sneak into Gorm’s camp here in Alrekstad. Once Eivor has learned, he heads off to sneak into Gorm’s camp. Once he has sneaked into Gorm’s camp, he manages to confront him.
“Gorm! You’re a coward! You were shat in this world without honor and will leave as a turd dumped into hell's deepest ditch!”
“You can’t do anything to me here and you know it.” Gorm was so smug.
“You’re a seed stain on your father’s trousers, and I should wipe you off this world.”
Stepping forward, Gorm steps back trying to stay far enough away, not sure how Eivor is going to react.
“If my father wasn’t distracted, you’d never have killed him and wouldn’t be alive right now.”
“If I wanted to hear you talk shit, I’d cut off your tongue and shove it up your ass.”
Just as Eivor has Gorm pinned against the wall by his throat, two of King Harold’s guards walk in. They remind Eivor that this is King Harald’s place and while they’re here, they will behave and be no trouble. Eivor lets go of Gorm who just sniggers and brushes himself off as he does.
“Count yourself lucky Gorm, your time is coming, soon you will be unable to escape your death.”
With that said, Eivor leaves with the guards, leaving Gorm smirking at the fact Eivor couldn’t hurt him. Eivor heads off to go join Sigurd, Basim, and Styrbjorn in the great hall where King Harald was waiting for everyone to join him for the Althing he’d organized. Once there he lets everyone know that everything will be ruled under one King, and that’s him. A couple of regions decide to give their land up to Harald and decide to leave. Which leads Gorm to declare his allegiance to King Harald.
Eivor steps in straight away which leads Gorm to accuse Eivor of poisoning his father Kjotve The Cruel. King Harald lets Gorm know that he knows otherwise because his uncle Guthorm the Wise was there with Eivor. King Harald looks at Eivor and says to him that it’s his choice whether to banish Gorm or have him killed.
“I’d rather just have a win over Ozymandias on Proving Ground. No need for him to be banished or killed, it’s wrestling, not the damn Hunger Games.”
“Dammit, Lance! Stay in damn character. This could’ve been a five-star movie.”
“Yeah right! I don’t even know why I let you talk me into this. If my ass gets hit with plagiarism because of this, Ozymandias isn’t going to be the only one getting an ass-kicking!”
With that, Lance storms off the set to the shock of everyone else there. The director Meredith isn’t happy at all.
“The Great One, Cthulhu will not be pleased.” Meredith’s tone was full of anger.
End of scene!
After Lance stormed offset, he headed home having left that shit show behind him. Butchered Productions definitely wasn’t for him.
“What an absolute waste of time that was, I could’ve spent that time playing Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla instead. Yet, for some reason I let myself get talked into making some total rip-off movie of it instead. I don’t even care if I’ve upset Cthulhu or as the funny man Aiden would say, Cunt-hulu. Ozy, like myself you’re a big guy, a big guy with strength, yet unlike me, you lack the speed to go along with it. You claim to want to rid this world of sin and suffering, to start a new one that is free of false Gods and Idols. The best start to doing that is getting rid of the whole Cthulhu thing. That’s a false God right there that you seem to worship, serve, summon, or whatever.”
Lance just shook his head.
“I have a lot of respect for your in-ring talent and don’t get me wrong, I’d never underestimate you Ozy, Ozy, Ozy, Oi, Oi, Oi! I just don’t understand the whole being a cultist who worships something that’s shaped like an octopus, a dragon, and a caricature of the human form. It’s as if mentally you’re like the Zack Tyler of Proving Ground only you probably hold your left hand up because you’re a member of the right hand.”
Lance just facepalms.
"Devotees and members of a cult is just a lame thing Ozy, a man with your talent shouldn’t have to rely on scary shit like that to get you over, leave that to the Fallout roster. Now don’t think because I’m verbally tearing you apart I hate you because I don’t. Hate is such a strong word and I’ve not been here in Project: Honor to hate many people. Those that deserve to be hated haven’t lasted long here in Project: Honor or rage quit. Either way, they don’t matter, what matters right now is you and me. That we’re going to step in that ring, two of the biggest guys in size here in Project: Honor. I hope they’re ready to see King Kong versus Godzilla, obviously, I’m King Kong because I’m going to be the victorious one. We’re talking about the nineteen sixty-two Japanese movie. The victory may have been somewhat ambiguous which our match won’t be because I’ll BULLDOZE you out of the way for the win, but just for your information anyway, in the Japanese movie Godzilla was clarified later as the winner.”
Lance takes a couple of swigs of his Gatorade.
“Ozy, I hope for your sake that you don’t react the same way as you did when Aiden Reynolds beat you. After all, it doesn’t show strength or intimidation attacking defenseless people. You wouldn’t want to end up with another suspension, would you? Maybe you should learn to control that temper of yours and not let it get the better of you. I’ve been in your shoes before, letting a loss eat me up inside but that’s just not the way to go about it. It’s okay to have passion, but anger is a different thing altogether. The best way to deal with a loss is to learn from it and build from it. Letting anger build up inside you or being a coward and attacking someone who isn’t trained or can’t fight back isn’t the way. Your cool little motto might well be “ALL MEN MUST FALL” but I will not fall. You see I will fight back, I’m not only fighting for myself out there but for the poor person you attacked for no reason. As I’ve said before, I don’t hate you Ozy so don’t give me a reason to, because I will BUTCHER THE BUTCHER!!!”
