When you’re new to a company, you take a look around and see what’s new and how things go and you try to see what you can do to fit in but at the same time you want to stand out. Well, when Zack Tyler was signed, he stood out because he did something that was original to him and that was to post a cryptic video about what transpired outside of the company and that happened through a general setting where all Project:Honor staff and talent alike congregated. Through that happening, although nobody knew at the time that it had originated from him, he began to take notes. Taking constructive criticism, he was able to take that and mold it into what he would feel that would make him a more valuable asset to the company, but also to those he works with.
Upon his entrance, he took to the graphing of Project:Honor with much enthusiasm and embraced the new feel of what would now be his wrestling home. Since his first day, he was looked at as a “pretty boy” or someone who was “Green” but as time went on, he started learning the ropes and how the company handled things. When he got comfortable enough, he began to get into more things and soon found himself in the crossfires of an individual and a family that he was a part of before even stepping into the company. When it was found out that he would be coming to this company, it was then certain what his first goal was.
Now as all things do, they change. Zack wasn’t going to make a b-line for anyone just yet although he could try to navigate that way. He would first have to prove himself to not just the management that gave him a chance, but to the locker room in general. He would also have to prove to himself that he had what it takes to stand tall in the company or sit in the corner and be that guy that helps the janitor sweep up after the events. The night that the company Draft happened, Zack had only had a chance to step into a Honor ring maybe a handful of times. The mat was stiff and like every place, you had to prove your worth. Well, while things may have gotten off to a rocky start within an conventional area, the path couldn’t be more clearer to Zack as he was now looking at his first big match since he was signed to the Fallout roster.
Zack was a quiet guy in the beginning and he would sit back and study people before engaging in any conversation but he felt that by asking questions, he would either be led the right way or chastised for his ignorance. What couldn’t be denied though is Zack’s talent and that’s what management saw as he now was placed in a position to possibly hold a title within the company. No, I’m not talking like a nameplate on the door but a title worn around his waist calling himself a champion. In order to do that, he would have to step in the ring to where he saw himself out-numbered in a possible Three-on-One disadvantage. Yes, that would mean a Fatal Four Way in some places but here, it wasn’t a mold that he had to try and fill or a mold where he was placed and told to be but instead he was told to be himself.
That was new to him so as he tried that, it was hit and miss along the way and I’d say even up until his first big event. The way Zack felt now was that all eyes would be on him because of that mistake he made. Would everybody see him as the talent he is in the ring or would they remember him as the guy who made that flaw? The only way that he knew he could make it up was to swallow the sulking and look to what waited for him, and then pursue that goal with all his ability. So with that said, let’s talk about the upcoming match that Zack will be enduring.
At the next live Pay-Per-View for Project:Honor, Zack will face (as stated earlier) three opponents with a prize on the line and that prize is becoming the Ascension Champion. It almost sounds too good to be true as you ascend in the company then quite possibly, you become the Ascension Champion because you ascended to that level. You’re looked at no longer as the new kid or if you watch NCIS, the probey, but one of the talent who has found that niche and can be talked about in groups as not that mess up you had when you first arrived, but the kid who would hold his own and say ‘hey, I actually did something besides taking up space’. But when you look at the talent that’s in the ring with Zack, you’re looking at three people who are willing to do whatever it takes to hold that title for as long as they can and they probably want it just as much as you do. So how can you appease the audience and those who look through the curtain at what you’re doing and see growth in you? I think you do it like this.
{THE.ARRIVAL}
The O2 arena that will house the night’s live Pay-Per-View event, The Crowning, had cameras from Project:Honor on hand outside of the venue getting their pre-show video footage when a Black SUV pulled up and parked just in front of the door. Stepping out of the vehicle was a man dressed in a suit and tie wearing Black sunglasses. That man was Zack Tyler. After removing his sunglasses and placing them on the collar of his shirt, he reached inside the vehicle and drug out his suitcase. Pulling up on the handle and then walking to the door, he signed in with the security there before entering the building. Once inside, he was greeted by another security personnel that would escort him to the end of the hallway. If you haven’t been to the O2 arena, at the loading and unloading area where everyone enters and exits, you walk past a few office spaces and so to make sure you don’t enter them, you’re escorted up to a certain point.
As Zack was led to the end of the hallway, it was clear that he was left to find himself the rest of the way. But luckily for him, there were signs pointing him in his direction. So minutes later after settling in his locker room and getting himself in ring conditioning, Zack’s next journey was to find the event’s interview area as Zack did have time set aside to speak with someone before his match. Of course this took place after the show opened and he took liberty in knowing that the person interviewing him would be Timothy Daniels. Apparently Alyssa Nguyen wasn’t available, so armed with an ever-ready cameraman, the segment interview took place.
{THE.INTERVIEW}
As the camera began to roll, Timothy did his usual spiel with the welcome and everything but as he introduced Zack, the crowd that filled the arena could be heard backstage where he was standing, as they cheered and booed Zack. This quickly got his attention as before Timothy could say anything, Zack reacted and grabbed the microphone from out of Timothy’s hand and looked directly into the camera. The live feed was obviously feeding into the arena on the production screen as well to the viewing audience.
[Z. Tyler] So you mean to tell me that I look at everything going on tonight and I have to go out there and fight for Fifteen minutes and if I win, then I walk away with the Ascension Championship? Then you better be ready because I didn’t come here to lose and with a big prize on the line. There’s something to say about being a new guy around here and that’s that you do what you were taught as a kid. When you go to a new place and so that nobody will pick on you, you pick your spot and you point out your target and you walk up to them and knock them out or you make them know that you’re their target no matter what happens. And that’s exactly what I did long before tonight and you know what you did, don’t you Matthew Knox? That is why when you did what you did, Pandora’s box opened and it became clear what needed to be done and that was for you to suffer your penance.
Fortunate for you, you won’t be the first victim tonight will you? No, because I have something else to take care of and like all bad things, they come in threes. That would be you Daniel Horror, Amber Payne and you Eli Atlas. Tonight each of you look to step into something that you think you’re ready for but you have no clue what you’re about to get into. I’ve walked into these situations before and what I’ve done, it made me smile and changed me into who I am and who I should’ve always been. The complete bloodshed of my opponents isn’t just what the people want but it’s what must be for the sacrifice that must be done because it is written.
It is explained in The Book of Baphomet prophesied that this would be the beginning and so shall what has been written, come to pass. As we each stand as pillars of Four and resemble that of the posts of our battlefield, we embrace the combat that is to come. At the end is a great reward but the journey getting there is sweet as your blood will cover my hands because it is my offering to The One who allowed me this gift of being able to stand before you and battle to see your elimination. I find it intriguing that you each have unique talents which shall be useful.
I can stand here and dissect each of you but what’s the point for your time frame of fame will soon come. You each will lose something of yourself when you step into this situation. You will not be the same as you entered and you may seek reprieve but none will find you. No, instead you will look to your Right and find that those who stood alongside you are no more. You look to your Left and there you will find us and what is good, holy, and just. Tonight your persistence will assure for some merit but the destination will meet you with destruction. So please, I beg each of you to look inside and fill your heart with darkness or you will not survive. Why do I give you such encouragement? Because as you decide your next move, the move has been made for you but you still don’t see or realise, because your eye isn’t open to what is in front of you or around you. Don’t worry for soon your eye and everyone who has an ear will see and hear what will soon behold. Now I must go and prepare for the arrival of HE who I walk in his name shall be quickly. I prepare for him by sacrifice of Three. Enjoy your torture for it will be swift and for me, enjoyable.
With a sinister smile, Zack walks out of the camera view.
