A storm of rain clouds itches its way closer to the port city of Seattle. Also known more recently as the home of Project Honor’s Sara Cross. Just outside of the house where the young star grew up in, Sara is seen packing up her car, her father Yuki aiding her as tears stream down her cheeks. Her father Yuki, wipes them from her eyes, and smiles at his daughter.
His eyes, beginning to also water up, he embraces his only living child, brushing the back of her hair with his hands. After a few moments, he almost reluctantly releases Sara, wipes his cheeks, and then pulls out a photograph of Sara and him standing beside each other, her International Championship around both of their waists,
“My beautiful baby… My growing star.. My Pikachu, make sure you call us when you get to your hotel safely..”
Sara’s eyes dart to her father for a quick moment, then her phone goes off and she checks it. After watching a short video clip, she turns to her father and smirks.
“Question for ya.. Can I use your basement? One last time, I promise!”
Sara’s father smiles widely, his eyes crinkling as he does so. He nods his head and Sara enthusiastically jumps up and down, hugging her father as she points to her cameraman and they run into the house.
As they make their way into the basement the shrine to Haruto, which has been somewhat recovered, is still charred from her antics pulled a week ago. Sara, glances at this before turning to the camera and quickly pulls her hair into a Kyoshi Warrior bun, though it is slightly more loose than normal.
“So.. One night on the job and already I got some attention huh? Not going to call out those who said what they said, or even try to pretend that I don’t have the odds stacked against me in this triple threat come this Thursday. So let’s start this off the right way.”
Sara smirks as, for a short time, she glances at the shrine of Haruto. She turns quickly and refocuses back on the camera, shaking her head as she does so.
“Kayla, considering from what I’ve studied you love to be the loudest one in the room. A real Azula of a woman huh? Well, what if I were to tell you that unlike you I scratched and clawed my way into this draft? What if I told you that I unlike you have came from NOTHING to become Revolution1’s International Champion by pinning their biggest name! Now while Revo doesn’t matter, y’know what does? The fact that I will continue to push myself beyond anyone else here in FallOut. Hell I’ll push harder than anyone else in Project Honor.”
Sara once again smiles, her eyes widening as she finishes her last statement. Her eyes, once again darting to the Haruto shrine. As she glances its direction, its almost as if Haruto was standing over him, guiding her every word. As she lets out a loud exhaust of breath, she continues her monologue.
“For four months I have been the beacon of hope for others. For four months, I have motivated and proven time and time again that I can DEFY the odds. Surely enough you can see just as any other that I’m a threat to your chances here.
And as far as Zack Tyler is concerned, I have plenty of experience taking out multiple people at once. My first win was a battle royal, and since then I have set the standards high for my competition. Call me a child, call me a one hit wonder, hell call me a wannabe anime hero.. But when it comes down to it, I. Will. DEFY”
Sara turns to Haruto’s shrine, tears rolling down her eyes. She walks towards the shrine, her eyes watering as she grasps the photo of her and Yuki together.
She touches the shrine of Haruto and continues to ball as she drops to her knees. Her bottom lip, quivering, as she opens her mouth to speak, but no words will leave. Her father walks down, a sympathetic tear rolling down his eye as Sara speaks.
“Haruto, I know I failed you, I know I hurt dad and made mom cry.. I promise to never do that again, I promise… To be better brother..”
