The scene opens up inside the Kiss 108 radio station located in Boston, Mass. The radio personalities are hosted by the two brothers, Mikey V and Frankie V. They returned after playing a song and began to talk into their mics.
Mikey V: “Frankie, are you a big wrestling fan?”
Frankie V: “ I'm a big wrestling nerd. It is the only sport that I ever liked as a kid.”
Mikey V: “You'll have to help me here, because my knowledge of it is not great. Hopefully our special guest can give us some more insight as well and get inside her head about the wrestling world. Please help me in welcoming the beautiful, the talented woman's wrestler out there that's making waves in the wrestling scene, Lexi Gold!”
The camera pans toward the door where she walks inside the studio, wearing one of her stunning pink rhinestone dresses and matches heels, she takes a seat next to Mikey, then places the headphones on her head and smiles at both of them, excited to be there for the first time and to meet them.
Lexi Gold: “Hello guys! Thanks for having me here. How are you?”
Frankie V: “We are doing good. Thanks for taking time out of your very busy schedule to be here, so for those who don't know Miss Gold she is a professional wrestler and has traveled all over the globe from Mexico, Japan, and Australia, and now she landed right here in Boston and will be competing in the ring this Friday for Project Honor and you can catch at the TD Garden, so, Lexi tell us a little about your match and how're feeling going into it.”
She brushes a strand of her hair back and takes a moment to take a breath in before she answers.
Lexi Gold: “It is a fatal four way match between myself, Diana, Betsy Granger, and Mikey Hero. I have only had the privilege of sharing the same ring with Diana and Betsy, so I know what you expect from both ladies. Mikey is like the wildcard in this. With this match in particular, someone can easily steal a pin here, and you don't even need to be involved.”
Mikey V: “How do you prepare for a match like that?”
Lexi Gold: “You have to grow eyes in the back of your head, and you need to try to and pay attention to everything that goes on. One simple mistake could lead you to lose the match.”
Frankie V: “I can imagine so. May luck be in your favor, so let's switch topics, how long have you been wrestling for?”
She grabbed for her water bottle and took a sip of it.
Lexi Gold: “For years. I started off being a manager for my ex-husband and then slowly transitioned into a wrestling role and have been doing it ever since. I'm passionate about what I do, and I strive to always be the best, but also be a good role model for everyone.”
Mikey V: “I'm sure you are leading by example through your hard work. Before we let you go, is there anything you'd like to plug?”
Lexi Gold: “No, just come out and enjoy the action Project Honor brings on Friday. It's going to be fire and there is always something for everyone. I look forward to giving out some ass whoopings.”
Frankie V: “More info on the event will be located on our website if you're interested in attending. Miss Lexi, I want to thank you for coming here and joining us. It's been lovely meeting you, and don't be a stranger. We'd love to have you back.”
Lexi Gold: “I would love to come back if my schedule allows me to.”
They play another song, and they continue to all talk while that is happening, then she decides to get up and leave the studio..
“The news of my return to the ring brought so much excitement in my life, but with that comes the need for growth and doing better than last time you saw me compete, so that is what I've been doing with my time spent away from the ring. Not just that, but I've been studying everyone's performance lately to see what could possibly be in store for me in the near future if I continue to work hard, but I don't want to jump ahead of myself. I want to focus on the present.”
She rubs her hands together as images in her head become apparent.
“One of the many things I've always liked and appreciated about Project: Honor is there is always something for everyone, regardless if you are just starting out in the business, or a veteran much like myself. This match I'm in is the perfect example of that yet we all will come together and share the same ring in order to prove ourselves.”
“We got a British woman who comes from a wrestling bloodline, but is dead set on making a name for herself, then a woman from Japan with a bubbly personality but isn't afraid to throw a punch. A simple-minded guy who just straight up loves wrestling. He isn't letting his size get in the way of accomplishing his goals, and then there is me… ”
She smiles and makes eye contact at the camera, then quickly looks away and thinks about the improvement she has made for herself.
“I've been on a long journey of healing and working on myself, but the passion… the passion has always remained there. With three opponents sharing the same ring with me comes the pressure of standing out and trying to prove why I want to win, but I strive under immense pressure. Pressure is my middle name, and I plan to strive and break through it all. I admit I was a bit unsure of myself when I lost the match against Giovanni at the pay per view Crowning Point, but after reevaluating things, I feel like I am back on track.”
“I will consider my one loss as a learning lesson and continue on my path to winning again, and that begins at Fools Rush In. I'm sure the others want to walk on that same path, but unfortunately the path is not clear. I'm the one standing in the way, and I don't plan to leave until I get rid of what's in my way and clear the ring for my rightful victory.”
