(POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING: SUBJECT OF MISCARRIAGE)
It’s a bright and sunny day as Meatball rides down the highway in his signature flame covered Harley. A cameraman sits in a sidecar attached to the bad man’s bike, filming him. Meatball is understandably emotional as he had only recently received some life changing news. Meatball is a man of unrefined taste and tends to spend his fight money in less than savory ways. One of the ways he spends his money is on carnal pleasures. As it turns out, recklessly sleeping with just any whore who will take your money may get you into a tricky situation. Meatball now finds himself in said situation. Sitting in Meatball's pocket is a cheap, pawn shop engagement ring, as Meatball is uncharacteristically planning on doing what he believes to be the right thing. Meatball approaches the hospital where his soon to be fiancé awaits him.
As Meatball pulls up to the hospital he puts his ride into park, taking up two spots. He heavily takes a step over and off the Harley as he readjusts his jacket and removes his goggles. The cameraman carefully shuffles out of the much too small sidecar in order to follow Meatball into the hospital.
|
As he steps through the door he takes a look at his surroundings. The sterile interior of hospitals always made him uncomfortable but for her he was willing to go through with fighting that uneasiness he felt. The fake glossy plants that dot the entrance of the hospital seemed to ease him. He grabs and snaps off a leaf to hold on to, to give himself courage as he explores. He walks around for a while not sure where to go until he spots a reception desk.

The woman behind the desk notices as Meatball approaches. Without either saying a word she avoids making eye-contact with the large man but she immediately knows who he is there to see. Meatball gets to the counter and presses on the bell in an attempt to get the woman’s attention. She begins to shuffle through some papers, reading through room numbers and lists of patients. Meatball being the way he is get’s impatient and begins rapidly pressing the bell. She seems dejected as she finally makes eye contact with him and points down the hall. Meatball seemingly confused shrugs and begins to make his way through the hospital.

He walks through the maze of overly clean halls that make up the medical facility. Finally, he reaches the emergency section of the hospital where he is stopped by a pacing doctor. Initially Meatball gets ready to attack the doctor until he realizes that the doctor only wishes to speak to him. Unfortunately the doctor flinches at Meaball’s feint as the Bad Man holds himself back from hitting the professional. The doctor drops to his knees and holds up his arms, seemingly pleading not to be hit. Without a word leaving either of their mouths, Meatball grabs the doctor and lifts him to his feet by the collar of his scrubs. Meatball brushes off the doctor’s shoulder as he composes himself. The doctor simply steps back and holds his arms out gesturing to a closed door. Behind those doors was Meatball’s future. His legacy. He reaches into his pocket as he walks toward the door.

Meatball enters the room where his one night stand lays in bed turned away from the door. A silent sadness fills the room as Meatball approaches. He finally begins to realize that something is terribly wrong. He pulls the ring out of his pocket but keeps it tightly gripped in his hand. He approaches the bed and goes to rest a hand on her shoulders but stops himself. The woman silently weeps trying her best to stay strong in what is easily the most difficult moment of her life. Thoughts begin to rush through his head. What did he miss? Where had he seen this before? What was this sinking feeling he felt in his gut. This wasn’t something he hadn’t felt before. This was something he knew well. This was…
… loss…
MEATBALL: There’s… there’s gonna be no… no “Little Mean” Meatpellet?
The woman doesn’t respond.
MEATBALL: I can’t believe this. Is this some sort of joke? Where are the cameras…
Meatball looks around the room until finally turning toward the cameraman.
MEATBALL: Are you in on this?!
Meatball huffs and puffs getting very worked up over being a living meme.
MEATBALL: THIS WAS BLAZE WASN’T IT! THAT SLIMY SACK OF SHIT!
Meatball points a finger at the camera with the ring still tightly gripped between his ring finger, pinky, and thumb.
MEATBALL: I can’t believe you’d stoop so low. To put a man through something like this. The things I was willing to do, the opportunities I was about to give up. All for some dumb little mind game?! You make me sick Joe! I may be a bad man, hell I’m downright evil, but never would I ever joke about a miscarriage. That’s too far!
The woman in the bed begins to tremble at the tremendous volume Meatball is able to reach while shooting on his Project Underground opponent. To her this was all too real, far more than it seems Meatball realizes.
MEATBALL: You want me to feel loss? You want to put me through all this pain? Is that all a part of your grand plan to save me? Well you know what? Congratulations. You win. Now I’m pissed and I need someone to take it out on.
Meatball begins to tap his head with his forefinger while making a contemplative face.
MEATBALL: Hmm, let’s think here… Who recently has wronged me in a way where I could take all this anger out on them? Someone who I could fight in a place where I can do whatever I want without getting the law involved. Hmm… These emotions, there’s too much, I can’t even think straight…
Meatball's jaw drops to the floor as a sarcastic expression of revelation is seen in his eyes.
MEATBALL: That’s right! It’s you! I can take it out on YOU, JOSEPH BLAZE! You wanna play mind games? Want me to know what loss is like? Well you know what? I’ve had my fair share of losses. Now, as we approach the thirtieth of march, it will be you who experiences loss. That loss will be at the hands of yours truly, CAUSE I’M THE BIG BAD MEATBALL! At the end of all of this, your name will spell it all out for you. As you lay on that canvas and watch as your world burns around you, the weight of my body, my anger, the world will crush you! The very weight I feel right now. You wanna think of yourself as some sort of messenger for god? Well let’s see where this god is when I send you away as a blazing pile of dogshit to the doorstep of hell!
Meatball takes a deep breath then releases.
MEATBALL: You can take a man’s dignity, his honor, but don’t… don’t fuck with his family.
Meatball steps around the bed to see the woman's face. She cowers at the sight of the angered man.
MEATBALL: It’s okay, I don’t want to hurt you little whore. I only wish to say sorry.
Meatball holds out his hand showing the woman the ring he had gotten her.
MEATBALL: This was going to be for you. I suppose that isn’t needed anymore.
Meatball slowly tips his hand slowly letting the cheap ring fall to the ground.
MEATBALL: You tell that sunovabitch, Joseph Blaze, that he can take this shitty meme and shove it.
Meatball stands up straight and once again readjusts his jacket. He puts on his shaded goggles and walks toward the door. The woman in the bed quickly sits up and peels over in pain using her only breath to call to Meatball.
MEATBALL’S WHORE: Wait!
The woman groans in pain, clutching at her lower abdomen. Meatball stops but refuses to turn toward the woman. She takes a moment to catch her breath then speaks in a quiet, weak, voice.
MEATBALL’S WHORE: It was real you know... “Little Mean” Meatpellet... He was real.
Keeping his back to the woman and camera, a small sniffle is heard from Meatball’s general direction. This was all too much. It was only a week ago when this woman was able to find and inform Meatball of this little miracle. A miracle far more special to Meatball than Joseph Blaze could ever hope to reproduce. Deep down, Meatball understood what she was saying. Deep down…
MEATBALL: I know…
… he knew this was real. He simply had no other way to cope. A man of his nature, they aren’t allowed to grieve. This would live on to be one of the darkest days of Meatball’s life, but what more could he do. The only thing to occupy his mind was destroying Joseph Blaze. That is how he handles loss. Meatball steps through the door and exits the room.
The doctor, previously in shock, approaches Meatball.
DOCTOR: Sir, I’m sorry to inform you but if she hasn’t told you yet…
Before he can finish Meatball shoves the doctor into the wall. The doctor's back slams against the hard surface as he drops to his knees. Meatball tucks the doctor's head between his legs then lifts him into the air. Meatball grabs the belt loop of the doctor's pants and lifts him as high as he can into the air.
MEATBALL: YEEEEAAAAAAARRRRGGGG!!!
Meatball lets out a monstrous roar as he brings the doctor back down, powerbombing him into a bench against the wall of the hospital hallway.
MEATBALL: AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Meatball continues to scream at the unconscious physician. All of the pain he feels flowing out of him. This was only a taste of what he planned for later. Meatball’s shoulders raise and lower in a violent rhythm as shaky, heavy breaths fall from his lips. He recomposes himself and walks down the hall, slightly slumped over, ready to leave this miserable place. The screen slowly fades to black as we are left with a single logo in the center of the screen, “Big Bad Inc.”
