14.03.22 Osaka, Japan
*One hundred percent of the useless presence and selfish behaviour of Swindle Shelldrake was a major factor in what happened two weeks ago at Proving Ground. Many said it was Arata's arrogance that cost them the match, but the Japanese man strongly believed that it was not his fault. Especially since he despised his "partner", not only for being basically weak, but also for showing a lack of professionalism. After all, Arata was also not satisfied with the fact that he had to cooperate with him. It was obvious that he would rather not carry on his shoulder a burden like Swindle Shelldrake. Despite that, as a professional, he undertook this task, but it quickly turned out to be what he expected. He was brutally disappointed by this man's incompetence and thus humiliated. Therefore, Arata already had a way in his head to repay him for how he had treated him. However, everything should take place at the right time. Especially since Arata had much more important things to do in the first place. Namely, it was the defense of his newly won Grand Championship. The man knew that this time he could not allow himself any mistake, as it happened with Emmanuelle. However, it was not the same situation as the last time. In that upcoming case he was sure that he would leave the next Proving Ground with that belt around his waist. The only unknown was who would be fighting him for that great prize. Of course, the choice was limited to a small group of people, but still anyone could get a chance to face Arata. Mainly because the level of the match that was supposed to select the challenger for the Grand Championship was very balanced. But a Japanese man would rather say that it was embarrassing and disappointing. So he wasn't that much worried about who he was going to fight. Of course, he still needed to be vigilant, but he knew there was no point in being overly stressed out.*
*For a few days, Arata decided to hold back with training and visit his mother. Despite the fact that the woman had lived in the new house for several years, she still could not get used to the splendor that prevailed in it. Mainly because she has spent most of her life in poverty. Arata understood her dislike for something that was so unfamiliar to her, because it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. However, he could not allow his mother to continue living in this ruin that they once called home. Not only was it dangerous, but Arata wanted to provide the best comfort to the woman who always gave him and his brother everything she had. Even if it cost her health at a young age. The man felt it was his duty as a son to ensure her a decent life.*
"Oh, so you don't know who you are going to defend the championship against? It's pretty exciting!"
*The woman seemed to be always fascinated with what Arata was doing. For her, his work was as unreal as if it were some kind of movie. Hearing her reactions, Arata just laughed and handed her a cup of green tea.*
"I wouldn't say that it is particularly exciting. Uh, I know that the unknown is something I shouldn't be happy about, because preparing for such a match can be problematic. On the other hand, the competition doesn't seem to be demanding. So it's hard for me to treat it seriously enough. Especially since most of them are just a bunch of losers who, even if they get that title shot, won't last a minute with me. The only person who possibly has any chance of making a good show off is Stella Jade. Though, I wouldn't be too excited either, because our last bout showed that this girl still has a lot to learn, before facing someone like me."
*Arata sat down next to his mother on a white, floral-patterned sofa. Then he ran his hand through his blond hair.*
"I am very happy that you are confident. As a child you missed it so much, so this change is a good thing for you. Still, you should be careful, Arata. You can never be sure, that someone who seems to be a failure, will not turn out to be a big surprise."
*After the woman added a few words from herself, Arata just rolled his eyes.*
"I know, I know. I'm not stupid. I'm just good at judging the standard of my competition. I am aware to whom I should devote more time, and who doesn't deserve it at all. I..."
*The Japanese man stopped speaking in the middle of a sentence, as he felt the phone vibrating in his pocket. Arata picked it up, but as soon as he heard a familiar voice in the receiver, he hung up immediately and threw the phone on the couch. His mother looked at him with a worry on her face, but before she could ask, the man began to speak.*
"Why can't he leave me alone?" The regret that could be heard in Arata's voice was quite overwhelming "Since we met accidentally a few months ago, this son of a bitch is calling me every single day from different numbers. I don't even know how many I have already blocked. But what I don't understand the most, is why he's calling me? For over twenty years he didn't care that he had sons. He didn't speak to me or Naoki for more than two decades. He didn't even send us a stupid card for our birthday, and now he suddenly appears out of nowhere and tells me how I should behave. It is fucking unfair, mom. Why is he doing it to me? Oh shit, I don't know what's in this man's head that he thinks he has a right to be a part of my life. He lost that opportunity the moment he decided to leave us. So I wouldn't have forgiven him twenty years ago, let alone now."
*Arata's mother sighed heavily, because it was not an easy situation for her either. The woman tried to do everything to not cry in front of Arata.*
"I don't know what to tell you. I don't understand why, after so many years, he decided to keep in touch with you. Perhaps he understood his mistake and he wants to fix it. You know, maybe i will never change my hatred for this man. However, perhaps you could give him a second chance. After all, if he hadn't been interested in getting you back, he wouldn't have tried to contact you after more than twenty years. In the end, he is your father, Arata."
*Every time he heard the word "father", the man started to get angry. His voice tone automatically started becoming colder.*
"Father? Can someone who abandons his children, because he has found some slut, can call himself a father? Does someone who has ignored our existence for years deserve forgiveness? Maybe I'm vindictive on this matter, but I do not have a father. I would never have been able to call this man that way. The very thought of it just disgusts me. But you know what is surprising for me? Seeing what a good person you are, it really amazes me that you were able to get into a relationship with such a scumbag."
*The woman rubbed her face with her hands, then took one more deep breath. The look on her face became even more painful and anxious than ever before.*
"Listen, Arata. I have to tell you something important, and I hope you will forgive me. I never told you the truth about that one thing, because I wanted to protect you, but I can't hide it forever."
*Arata looked at his mother with obvious surprise, waiting for further explanations.*
"I don't know how to tell you this. I've been looking for a good moment for the last few years, but I realized that such a thing just doesn't exist. I think it will be overwhelming in every possible way, but it may also bring you some relief. I have no idea what your reaction will be, but it is time to tell you. Even if this conversation comes out of nowhere. Listen, the person you hate so much...is not your biological father."
*While the blonde hated this man with passion, he felt like someone had punched him right in the face. All he could do was still staring at his mother, looking for more answers. However, she was silent, not knowing what to say next.*
"So who is he?"
*Arata whispered so softly that you could barely hear it.*
"Is there a point in knowing at all? Since you hate Hiroto so much, I don't think you want to know a man who has never seen you in person. Why do you need this knowledge?"
"What do you mean, mom? First you hide it from me for so many years, and now you don't even want to tell me who my father is. Look, I'm not asking you, so that I can act like a family with him, because it's not an option. If he didn't want me back then, I guess it's obvious that right now he won't be interested in getting to know me either. But I think that I deserve to at least know his name."
*Arata gently placed his hand on his mother's shoulder, looking at her friend. As much as the woman worried that he would be angry at her, she couldn't be more wrong. He knew how much she cared for her children, so she must have had a good reason to lie to him.*
"Okay, then...your last name is actually the same. And your father's name is Akira Asakura. If you type this name in Google, you will surely find a lot of information. But I don't recommend you doing it. He's a very bad man and that's why I left him, when I was pregnant. I didn't want you to grow up in an environment filled with so much brutality and a lack of pity. I was just afraid you would get even worse than him. You and Naoki deserved better than that."
"Is it a coincidence that Hiroto and Akira have the same name?"
*The woman just shook her head, giving him an answer.*
"No, your biological father is Hiroto's older brother."
"As you can see, their whole family is a bunch of motherfuckers. Anyway, you should probably get some rest, mom. You turned so pale."
*After these words, Arata escorted his mother to her bedroom so that she could take a nap. While he didn't know what to do with all the information he got. While he had never felt any connection with Hiroto, he didn't expect him to not be his father. On the one hand, he was relieved that he was not his son, on the other, Akira was no better.*

*To keep himself busy, Arata barely left his dojo for the next few days. You could even say that he practically lived there. However, loneliness and a lot of physical effort helped him not to be absorbed by his own mind. This news about his father was definitely not brought to him at the right moment. On the other hand, his mother was right. It would never be a good opportunity to find out about something this shocking. However, it didn't change the fact that it hurt him a lot. Even if he didn't know Akira and he didn't care about this father-son relationship. Still Arata just found out that he was left not by one parent, but technically by two of them. So even for an adult man it was overwhelming information. Despite this turn of events, Arata didn't have time to feel sorry for himself. After all, no one else cared if he was in a good mood and, as befits his reputation, he had to show what a professional he is in the wrestling industry. Therefore, he directed all his attention at it. After all, his past was not as important as his future.*
*After the morning training was over, Arata decided it was a good time to share a few words with the Project Honor Universe. Taking advantage of the fact that he was in the mood to record this message, he immediately grabbed the camera, which he placed in front of the golden dragon emblem painted on the wall. Then he sat down in a cross-legged position, leaning his back against it.*
*When the recording starts, you can see that Arata is wearing only black fitting sweatpants and sports shoes of the same color. Moreover, both strands of his blond hair and body are still wet with sweat after demanding preparations. While Arata is still trying to stabilize his breathing, he hurriedly begins to speak. The man's tone of voice is quite harsh, but that's to be expected when the Grand Championship, that lies next to him, is on the line.*
Betrayal is something that is an inevitable element in this industry. This thing has spread like a plague to such an enormous, that it is impossible to get rid of. However, as we all know, it hurts a lot more when it is done by a person that is close to you. Fortunately for me, it was a completely different case. I was not fooled by an important friend of mine. I was betrayed by the ego of a pathetic and useless piece of shit, who thought he would prove something with his dramatic exit. However, the only thing Swindle Shelldrake showed was that he is still an immature little boy, who does not deserve his spot in this industry. The thing is, apparently the management is too stupid to see it and instead of punishing him for this lack of professionalism, they are giving him a reward. Which is a huge mistake, because in this way you are allowing the rest of your roster to misbehave in order to gain benefits. Great job, it's the first step to make a circus here, instead of the wrestling company. Which won't be difficult, because we've got a bunch of clowns anyway. And what probably irritates me the most is that I will have to deal with one of them. So let me ask you an important question. Are you fucking kidding? Who the hell had that ridiculous idea that any of these losers should even get a chance at the Grand Championship? I know that there is not such a big competition here that could beat me, but let's be reasonable. Any normal person would not give the opportunity to possibly challenge for such an important championship to someone like John Blade or a girl whose whole personality comes down to having big tits. Listen, this is more than ridiculous. Especially since most of the participants of the Spring Break Triathlon are not even good enough to chase after a low card belt. Not to mention the Grand Championship. This is one thing that pisses me off. The second is that it is clearly disrespectful towards me. So I hope this bitch ass management doesn't expect me to ignore that fact. If so, then it is not my problem. I will not keep my mouth shut, while you put me on a par with such a waste of space.
*Arata rolls his eyes to show his irritation. Then he moves on to the next part of his speech.*
Maybe I don't know who my opponent will be at the next Proving Ground, but I don't feel even a bit of anxiety. Mainly because none of them are even close to the level I represent. Moreover, most of them not only will not be able to beat me, but they will not even manage to present themselves well. The only person who can give at least a pretty good performance is Stella Jade. The thing is, as you know, after our match a few weeks ago, she also has no fucking chance of taking the Grand Championship from me. Perhaps she is not that bad in the ring, but she also does not represent anything extraordinary. There is certainly no such thing in her, that would make her be the star she claims to be. Which, of course, is a mere figment of her imagination, because it has nothing to do with reality. Well. I told you a long time ago, Stella, that to be called a superstar you have to deserve it first. While you haven't done anything to prove it, since you signed with Project Honor. I am not even talking about winning the titles or anything. The thing is, you haven't even won any major matches. You haven't beaten anyone significant. The only time you were actually in a spotlight was when you faced me. The thing is, everyone's eyes were on you, just because I was there. And to be honest, I'm not going to listen to excuses, because I don't care that you just started your adventure with wrestling, Stella. If you consider yourself to be such a big star and the future of this industry, you should have already proven it. Especially since, it's not like I expect the impossible from you. You know, at some point I was also starting my career and I used to enter every company, with which I signed, with a bang. Contendership, matches, title matches, main event on my debut. There's a reason why I got all of this as a rookie while all you do is being a piss break show. Perhaps you would have more potential if you work harder. However, apparently simping over Brandon Hendrix is more important for you than your career. Therefore, even more I do not understand why someone like you has a chance to challenge for the Grand Championship. What's the funniest thing about that...this is the best that Spring Break Triathlon has to offer. So I could not be more disappointed.
The rest of these folks are a fucking joke and I'm not even exaggerating. Just look at my potential competition to see what I mean. Let's start with Serrano Poblano or whatever this guy was called. Can he even be seriously called a wrestler? Well, I don't think so. All I see when I look at him is Grodon Ramsey bought from Aliexpress, not a professional athlete. Who's next? Diana? At a first glance you can see that she has no talent at all and she simply thinks she will make a career using her body. And while some virgins, who have never seen a real woman in their life, will be delighted, actual wrestling fans want more than big tits and a pretty face. Meanwhile, Diana has nothing more to offer. John Blade is not even worth talking about, so let's skip it. No point in me getting more angry.
However, let's also take a look at some new blood that came out a while ago. Unfortunately, I cannot say that they surprised me positively, when it comes to the level of skills. What's more, they are not even interesting overall. For example, look at Mikey Hero. He is another proof that anyone can become a wrestler these days, but not everyone can be on top. The thing is, I have always considered something like this an offense to people that are a god tire competitors like me. Especially since I have earned my place in the industry and I am always doing everything to keep it. While people like Mikey? All they have to do is tell the lovely story about having dreams and being wrestling fans since childhood. Oh wow! So impressive. I only heard it five hundred times. Seriously, it's sad that this bullshit is enough to get a "career", but unfortunately this world is too full of pity towards losers. The thing is, being a dreamer is one extreme. Another is to focus too much on wrestling as a technical knowledge itself. This is what Douglas Crane does. I mean, I can appreciate that he is so devoted to the sport, but on the other hand he makes a lot of mistakes, because of his lack of attention and recklessness. He focuses too much on making technical moves and the rest of important factors are put deep in his ass. This is why he has zero knowledge of what in-ring awareness should be. Well, wrestling is not that simple, Crane. It is not just about exchnaging blows, but maybe you are too stupid to realize it. For the very end, I left Mr. Pretty Boy. However, as you expect, I also do not consider him a good competition. What's more, it seems to me that he is the weakest participant of the Spring Break Triathlon. Well, maybe he would have the potential to be a big star if he started caring about something more than his beauty. I swear to god, this man is a shame to all fucking Japan. It is so hard to realize that this isn't a beauty contest? Start acting like a competitor, Minj, or fuck off.
Honestly speaking, I don't know what to think about this match. On the one hand, this sounds like a free defense, as there's no chance my reign will end up against one of those morons. The thing is, everyone knows that I hate such unambitious battles. Especially if the Grand Championship is on the line. So it is obvious I expect a worthy opponent, not a waste of space. That is why, I don't know what management tried to do here, but I don't care either. Trying to find out would pretty much make me more upset. Instead I am going to do something that I am the best at. I am going to remind all these losers that their place is at the very bottom of the card. I will show them that even in ten years they won't be able to reach my level.
There is only one thing that they can get from that match with me. The winner of Spring Break Triathlon will get a chance to face the best wrestler on the Proving Ground.
But remember one thing. No matter who is winning that shit, I will remain Grand Champion. No discussion about that.
