WHEN: Tuesday, January 18th, 2022
WHERE: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
THEME SONG: "ENEMY" by Imagine Dragons ft. J.I.D.
OPENING
A live feed of fans entering the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, can be seen as the sounds of “Enemy” by Imagine Dragons featuring J.I.D. begins to play gently at first. The sound of the fans chatter and excitement can be heard for several moments, before the first verse swings around.
I wake up to the sounds of the silence that allows
For my mind to run around with my ear up to the ground
I'm searching to behold the stories that are told
When my back is to the world that was smiling when I turned
Tell you you're the greatest
But once you turn they hate us
Charlie Barlow slowly comes onto the screen clear as day, their horrific little smirk is shown as VHS tape is wrapped all around them. On the opposite side of the screen, a determined Gin Kuromiya stands with arms crossed over his chest. Purple flames engulf the screen a moment later as we transition to the next card.
Oh, the misery
Everybody wants to be my enemy
Spare the sympathy
Everybody wants to be my enemy
(Look out for yourself)
My enemy (look, look, look, look)
(Look out for yourself)
But I'm ready
The view changes and spins out in a blur, when it returns to normal, M.A.N. comes onto the scene and is seen adjusting his jacket. Chloe XO approaches, seemingly frustrated, as her hands tuck into her pockets. A graphic comes up to showcase their upcoming match as the next verse rolls around.
Your words up on the wall as you're praying for my fall
And the laughter in the halls and the names that I've been called
I stack it in my mind and I'm waiting for the time
When I show you what it's like to be words spit in a mic
Tell you you're the greatest
But once you turn they hate us
(Huh)
Virgil Barrick is seen walking up the steps where the Rocky Balboa statue is found. He gets to the top, staring ahead in thought. A few feet behind him, his opponent, Joseph Blaze wears a wicked smirk. Flames engulf the screen as the scene shifts.
Uh, look
Okay, I'm hoping that somebody pray for me
I'm praying that somebody hope for me
I'm staying where nobody 'posed to be
P-P-Posted, being a wreck of emotions
Ready to go whenever, just let me know
The scene shifts, inside some building and showing off the artwork around the room. Everything speeds by in a blur, including the faces of those inside of the large room. The sound of murmuring voices can be heard, but none able to be made out. Flames engulf the scene before we head to our final match card.
The road is long, so put the pedal into the floor
The enemy on my trail, my energy unavailable
I'ma tell 'em hasta luego
I know they wanna plot on my trot to the top
I've been outta shape, thinkin' out the box, I'm an astronaut
I blasted off the planet rock to cause catastrophe
And it matters more because I had it not
Kurtis Slayne stands with a seemingly bored expression propped up against the Rocky Balboa statue. His arms cross over his chest, digging into his pocket to pull out a lighter. Andrea Cross comes into view, smiling with a bright expression, before flames engulf the screen a moment later.
Had I thought about wreaking havoc on an opposition
Kinda shocking they wanted static with precision, I'm automatic
Quarterback, I ain't talkin' sacking
Pack it, pack it up, I don't panic
Batter, batter up, who the baddest?
It don't matter 'cause we at ya throat
Finally, Meatball and Christopher Graves stand nearly face to face in front of the Rocky Balboa statue. They both hold up their fists at one another, glaring daggers, until the screen shatters and fades to the crowd.
Everybody wants to be my enemy
Spare the sympathy
Everybody wants to be
My enemy
Oh, the misery
Everybody wants to be my enemy
Spare the sympathy
Everybody wants to be my enemy
As we head back to the arena, the camera pans over the electric crowd that cheers wildly. It’s a sold out show and they’re all packed in and ready to go as the music slowly fades out.
Pray it away, I swear
I'll never be a saint, no way
My enemy
Pray it away, I swear
I'll never be a saint
CHARLIE BARLOW VERSUS GIN KUROMIYA
SINGLES MATCH
As soon as the bell rings, Gin shows that he is in no playing mood. He fires away with wild lefts and rights, not even giving his opponent a chance to breathe. Triple Spinning Backfist as Charlie drops down. Gin charges towards the ropes, bouncing off of them, as he nails Charlie with a Hip Attack. Wolf Fang Fist connects and Gin kips up to his feet. He leaves no breathing room, as he locks in the Diamond Is Unbreakable! Charlie refuses to tap out, trying to catch their breath, but Gin wrenches back on the hold. Charlie slaps their hand onto the mat, even as Gin refuses to let go until the last possible second!
VERA KNIGHT: Here is your winner via submission, Gin Kuromiya!
Gin snatches his arm away from the referee, rolling out of the ring and heading backstage with a pure look of fire in his eyes. The crowd and the staff around are all in confusion as we head to commercial break.
MATCH TWO
M.A.N. VERSUS CHLOE XOSINGLES MATCH
Unfortunately for Chloe, this isn't a match that is going to last very long. There's little offense or defense from Chloe, most of the match going in M.A.N.'s favor. M.A.N. nails Chloe with a vicious Market Crash. Chloe is all out of it and can hardly stand on her own feet. M.A.N. takes advantage of his opponents weakened state and signals for the end. Going Global! Sit-Out Powerbomb and M.A.N. hooks the legs.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
VERA KNIGHT: Here is your winner via pinfall, M.A.N.!
The large male shoves Chloe out of the ring and basks in his own glory. Arm raised high in the air as he wipes some sweat from his face with his free hand. After yanking his hand free from the referee, he steps out of the ring and heads backstage.
SEGMENT
INTRODUCING ANDREA CROSS
With a video package appearing on a sunny California beach, we found young Andrea Cross walking out of the surf with a surfboard in tow. Smiling brightly and bubbly, she steps forwards to the camera with a confidence strut in her step as she plants the surfboard into the sand.
ANDREA CROSS: I'm just your average Kiwi girl, I love surfing, long walks on the beach, and kicking ass and taking names inside a wrestling ring.
Playfully winking to the camera, the image would change to the girl named 'Andy' in her wrestling outfit, putting on her cap and un-straightening it for stylistic effect.
ANDREA CROSS: I didn't come here to play around and have fun though, I fought for years to get here and I ain't going to let my biggest chance of my career slip to make an instant impression on every single one of you tonight... Especially Kurtis Slayne.
A confident smile curled up on her lips as she cracked her knuckles.
ANDREA CROSS: You look to inflict pain, i'll give you the heartbreak of being the first person I beat, as I show everyone why Andrea Cross is everyone's Kiwi Krush.
Aiming a finger-gun at the camera, she'd pull the trigger with a playful 'pew' as the feed goes black.
MATCH THREE
JOSEPH BLAZE VERSUS VIRGIL BARRICKSINGLES ACTION
With referee Antonio Cruz calling for the match to start, Blaze and Barrick are quick to meet in the middle of the ring and test each other's strength with a classic back and forth knuckle lock. Eventually though Blaze would grow weary of such folly, choosing to launch his knee into the gut of Barrick to double him over. Running the ropes, he meets Barrick back in the middle with a running shoulder block, and immediately goes for a quick and simple pin.
O-Kickout!
Barrick has none of it, kicking out immediately and looking insulted at Blaze's expectations of winning this easily. But the sick laughter from Blaze would be followed up by punches to his seated opponent, eventually switching up to chops and eventually deciding to irish whip Barrick into the ropes to follow up with a spinning backfist that once more levels Barrick in the middle of the ring, straight into yet another pin.
One!
Kickout!
Barrick again kicks out aggressively, further getting frustrated by Blaze's attempts at acquiring a quick victory.
AARYA SINGH: Blaze is leaving no prisoners early on, the saviour wants to beat Barrick quickly.
SAMAR SINGH: It'll take more than a few half-hearted moves to keep Barrick down, though.
Instead of pulling Barrick back to his feet, Blaze shuffled back on his knees and raised his hands with a smile, beckoning Barrick to get back onto his feet to restart the fight from a standing position. The British fighter straightened his hair, getting into a classic British shooter stance and waiting for Blaze to join him in the middle of the ring... But instead of playing around with tests of strength or chain wrestling, Barrick shows off his footwork with a few feints before ending up behind Blaze and hitting a clean and snappy German Suplex that throws his opponent across the ring to applause from the crowd.
Moving towards the ropes where Blaze was recovering, he quickly came face to face with the behemoth that went by the name of "The Protector", but despite no words being shared it was enough distraction for Joseph Blaze to come to his feet and bounce off the ropes and hit his 'Blaze of Glory', planting Barrick in the middle of the ring with his signature cutter, Joseph Blaze is surprised to see Barrick get onto a knee on the bounce and refusing to stay down long enough for a pin.
SAMAR SINGH: That was a hard move from Blaze, but Virgil is still looking for more!
AARYA SINGH: More getting beat the hell up by Blaze, you mean!
Blaze runs the ropes and aims for a kick straight to the head, but Barrick ducks underneath it and hits another German Suplex on the counter, but rather than let his opponent fly free he keeps his arms locked and quickly transitions into the Fixer's Favourite suplex to Blaze straight on the back of his head. For a second time he keeps his arms locked, gritting his teeth and pulling a groggy Blaze to his feet before pulling him straight up for the Doctor Bomb straight into a pin!
One!
Two!
Three!
VERA KNIGHT: Here is your winner by pinfall, VIRGIL BARRICK!
Barrick lets out a controlled roar of pride as he gets up to his feet and climbs the nearest turnbuckle in celebration as he achieves a strong comeback victory against Joseph Blaze.
SAMAR SINGH: Blaze looked strong early on, but Barrick somehow managed to grit through the early damage and hit three devastating moves in a row, showing that sometimes all you need is sheer power!
With Blaze being gingerly helped off the apron by his Protector, he falls straight to the ground as Gin Kuromiya runs across the apron and plants his boot straight to the side of The Protector's head, crumpling the behemoth in a single devastating move!
AARYA SINGH: What's that crazy madman doing attacking people after their matches?!
Blaze gets up to his feet wondering where the attack came from, but he doesn't react in time as Gin uses all his speed to leap off the apron and hit Blaze with Shikai: Sakanade and planting Project Underground's Saviour's head straight into the concrete floor below.
With a devilish smile, Gin stands over Blaze with evil intentions in his eyes. Letting in deep breaths, he seems to wait for Blaze to get up yet again, and that could mean only one thing... Bankai: Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo, the poison mist spews forth from Kuromiya's mouth but rather than hit Blaze in the face it instead shoots its full devastating powers into the face of Joseph Blaze's protector who is quickly overcome with paralysis.
With Blaze overcome with confusion and checking in on Lurch, Gin merely chooses to depart having made his statement towards his enemy...
SAMAR SINGH: That purple poison mist immediately immobilized someone as intimidating and powerful as Lurch, but why did he not spew it at Blaze?!
AARYA SINGH: I think he was sending a message, and Kuromiya seems like he hasn't yet begun his reign of terror towards Joseph Blaze, and possibly the rest of the roster!
MATCH FOUR
ANDREA CROSS VERSUS KURTIS SLAYNESINGLES ACTION
Slayne has yet to lay an eye on Cross, keeping his head buried into the corner turnbuckle when the bell rings. Andrea isn't about to let the opportunity pass her by as she charges to her opponents side of the ring looking for a running forearm strike but Slayne moves out of the way just in the nick of time. Cross gets caught up in the corner allowing Kurtis to land a massive roaring elbow to the back of the neck of Kiwi Krush.
SAMAR SINGH: Oh, sweet baby Jesus! That has got to hurt. And to the back of the neck at that?! What kind of animal does that!
AARYA SINGH: A smart one, that's who. Aim for the parts of the body someone absolutely needs to use and take them out. Fair game.
Cross falls to the mat allowing Kurtis to get the upper hand. Kurtis takes her wrist, pulling her to her feet, turning the hold into a standing wrist lock. Slayne positions himself behind his opponent keeping the wrist lock held in tight with one hand while he reaches around and begins to gouge at the eyes of Cross. Cross begins to let out shrieks of pain but finally reaches the rope with her free hand. Slayne holds onto the wrist causing the referee begin a count which he ignores. The referee finally pulls The Bastard off and begins to shout at the competitor.
SAMAR SINGH: Hey! Come on, this is totally unfair! Someone has to gain some control on that monster.
AARYA SINGH: Doubtful. But, I have to say, he is very pretty. Who knew someone related to Indy Darling could be so... devastatingly good looking?
SAMAR SINGH: Hey, now! We are supposed to be focused on the match!
AARYA SINGH: Oh, I am.
Slayne ignores the referee shoving his way past, only to be caught by a hard strike to the jaw spinning him around! As Slayne begins to fall forward he is caught by Andrea Cross who hits Kiwi Strong into the ropes! Slayne's neck bounces off each rope as he's slammed to the mat by the deadlift german suplex. Kiwi goes for the pin but Slayne violently kicks out at two. Andrea doesn't let up though, pulling Kurtis to the center of the ring and locking in a knee bar. The sadist refuses to show any amount of pain he may be in as he sits up and stares daggers into the eyes of Cross who begins to apply more pressure.
Slayne spits at Kiwi Krush, causing her to begin striking the knee while in the hold finally causing Slayne to break and begin to turn the hold over. Before the sadist can escape, Cross releases the hold and gets back to her feet. As Kurtis Slayne attempts to do the same he stumbles falling to one knee! Cross hits the rope and comes back hitting the Cross Kick! Kurtis falls face first to the mat as the Crescent kick is enough to put Slayne down just long enough for the three-count.
VERA KNIGHT: Here is your winner via pinfall, Andrea Cross!
Andrea celebrates her debut win, standing up to her feet slowly with help from the referee. She glances at Kurtis, who is slowly rolling out of the ring with a deadly look in his eye. He stands up against the commentary table, much to Aarya's chagrin.
AARYA SINGH: Man, what a match. Don't get it twisted, Kurtis is an absolute beast in the ring. Even if he doesn't seem to know what self control is. But, that's exactly what I like in a man.
SAMAR SINGH: Anyway... Congrats go out to Andrea Cross on her big win tonight! Well, well, well deserved!

MAIN EVENT
SINGLES ACTION
Antonio Cruz calls for the bell to start the match, and Christopher Graves needs no motivation to get the match started with an overdose of energy as he sprints forward to face the challenge of the Meatball ahead of him. His first attempt a clothesline, trying to get the three-hundred pound man off his feet, but despite having the height advantage it doesn't seem to affect the man much. So Graves quickly goes for a second attempt, but instead of hitting another clothesline he is merely met in the middle of the ring with a lariat that stuns Graves and gets him wobbly on his own feet.
With traction in his boots, Meatball hits the ropes himself and goes for a big boot that takes Graves off his feet, before hitting the ropes again for a second one that keeps Graves down a split second longer. Graves attempts an irish whip, but instead Meatball overpowers his foe and whips him back first into the opposite corner with a thud that reverberates through the arena.
SAMAR SINGH: Neither man is giving an inch here!
Not even the commentators got time to make their opinions heard as Meatball hits full speed for a running splash into the corner, but Graves slips out of the way and chooses to hit the ropes to retaliate with the 305 that sends Meatball up and over the top rope and out of the ring for the first indication that he is able to lose balance. But instead of waiting for his opponent to make it back in, Graves chooses to slide after him hitting a few clubbing blows to the back to make him stagger towards the boarding that keeps wrestler and audience separate. But Meatball would recover, turning around with a stiff chop to the chest that elicits a wince from the crowd, but Graves returns with equal measure and sharpness as they go back and forth at least half a dozen time making both men's chests look like a cheese grater had been taken across it.
AARYA SINGH: This is a main event worthy back and forth we're seeing here, I hope they'll go even further!
Graves eventually speeds up with faster and stiffer chop to stop Meatball from striking back at him, and whipping him towards the other side of the ringside area he uses his freak athletic speed to catch up and go for a devastating spear! That is dodged just as expertly as Graves drills himself into the ringside barrier as steel collides with human flesh that makes the ringside audience gasp in shock.
Meatball wasn't shocked though, quickly sliding into the ring to stop the count and instead of going for a count out victory he bounces off the opposite ropes and would launch himself with a full head of steam with the Full Speed Evil 2.0 that flattens Christopher Graves who had no idea which truck would end up flattening him on the outside.
SAMAR SINGH: Holy crap, what speed from such a gigantic man!
AARYA SINGH: I think we need a clean up crew to scrape up the remains of Christopher Graves.
Letting out a delighted laugh Meatball would stomp his boot into Graves before grabbing him by his head and throwing the limp near 7 foot noodle into the ring. Taking his time to get onto the apron and as he gets in the ring getting ready to end it all with a cover and pin.
One!
Two!
Thr-KICKOUT!
To a significant cheer from the crowd, Christopher Graves would defiantly kick out of the pinning attempt having found some fount of pure fighting spirit to keep himself in this fight. Meatball would be shocked before getting frustrated, giving Graves a slap on the side of the head and stomping him to keep him down yet again. Revving up, he'd bounce himself off the ropes before diving and rolling for the rolling thunder, but Graves is wary of it and Meatball lands back first on the mat and would get up clutching his back before getting hit with a SPEAR that takes Meatball off his feet to the roar of the crowd.
Getting up and feeling the energy flow back into his system, Graves nodded along as he stood tall over Meatball. Grabbing an elbow pad, he'd take it off and sling it into the crowd before gesturing back and forth and running off the rope to show that the KING'S COMING!
With almost insane hang time, Graves would drop the leg on Meatball. Except, there was no Meatball to drop a leg on as his foe rolls out of the way and causes Graves to land paralyzingly hard on his tailbone with nothing to show for it. And gingerly getting back to his feet to fight back, he can't truly provide defense against the BAD DRIVER Jackhammer that drops him neck and shoulder first into the mat. Raising his arms, Meatball points at the turnbuckle and would quickly climb up to the top before crashing his entire body weight onto Graves with MEATBOMB into a pin!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
VERA KNIGHT: Here is your winner by pinfall, "BIG BAD" MEATBALL!
To boos of the crowd, Meatball smiles as he pushes Graves out of his ring to stand tall as the victor. Making sure to get the referee to raise his hand in victory, he relishes the vitriol of the crowd as he takes a big win in the main event.
AARYA SINGH: What a main event, but Graves didn't have enough gravy to stop the Meatball tonight!
SAMAR SINGH: It wasn't an easy win for Meatball though, and both these warriors showed true guts tonight. And thank you to all the fans for watching tonight, and see you on the next episode of Project: Underground!
