Lexi slowly walks up the steps looking up with a worried expression on her face until she reaches the final step and walks toward the door step. Before she could attempt to knock on the door thoughts run through her mind. What if her sister is not as forgiving as she imagines? What if she says she doesn't want her back into her life ever again? These questions may seem overexaggerated, but after all the emotional and physical pain she caused for her sister it would not be surprising. Clearing the thoughts from her head, she began to knock. The door finally opened up and her sister stood on the opposite side with a smile on her face, which confused Lexi to say the least, using a hand motion for her to enter the home. The two walked over to the living room area and sat on the sofa next to each other. Lexi didn't know how to start the conversation without sounding desperate for an apology, but she would try her best.
Lexi Gold: “I am sure you are wondering why I'm here. It's been a couple of months since we've been in contact with each other, but I'm sure you preferred it that way, especially with what I've done to you, so I don't blame you for that. I blame myself.”
Leslie Gold: “I understand. We all make mistakes in life, Lex. You were going through a tough time with your marriage and you didn't know how to express your emotions correctly, so you used anger.”
Lexi sighed and felt a sense of shame for her having to witness that side of her. Looking back in her career it was like watching the horror movies they watched as a kid growing up and Lexi played the villian.
Lexi Gold: “I was in a very rough place. I should have never taken my anger out on you. You were just trying to help. I'm really sorry for what I did. Can you forgive me, or is there something I have to do to earn your trust again?”
Leslie chuckles and pulls her in for a hug, then let’s go as Lexi fights off a few tears from that.
Leslie Gold: “I forgive you, but promise me you will not turn into a raging lunatic ever again. You fed me worms for crying out loud. Do you know how disgusting that was?”
Lexi Gold: “Very disgusting..again I’m sorry.”
Leslie Gold: You better be. Now how about we get the hell out of here and you show me what you've been doing in the ring. I heard you got a big match coming up in Project Honor. I can't afford to see you go into this unprepared nor would I miss out on seeing it. Now get your ass up and let's go!”
Lexi chuckles at her demand, and gets up from the couch. In a rush, her older sister grabs her arm and does a single arm shoulder throw and Lexi's back lands on the carpet. She stares at her stunned and a little taken back by it, unsure how she learned that to begin with. Leslie smiles and grabs for her keys, leaving Lexi on the ground with more questions than she previously intended to have.
“New year, new win added in my column here in Project:Honor. I’m very proud of myself and I have every right to be. I went into the match with a drive of determination and it definitely paid off. After the match concluded I did what was appropriate and extended my hand out to Guy respectfully and simply walked away. What I did right there is one of those rare moments you see nowadays in professional wrestling, because most are in the business for themselves and don’t care about anyone else. I was that person, but some roads have to come to an end and I’d be happy to not walk down that road ever again.”
She nods her head in approval, then stares off into space as she thinks about her future and what she hopes to accomplish.
“However, a road I would like to walk down is the one leading to a path of success and I’ll strive to get there someday. I’m still considered the new blood of the company, but I will not give others the satisfaction of using that as a way to drag my name through the mud, or as a sign of weakness. I take pride in being part of the new blood. It gives me the opportunity to forge new beginnings, so with that in mind that brings me to my next challenger, Stella Jade.”
She interlaces her hands and looking down at them, admiring the lines in her fingers before continuing on with her choice of words.
“Believe it or not there is some similarity between us, Stella. We have an appreciation for what we feel is right with the world, but at the same time don't back down from a fight. I admire that in you much like I did with Guy. However, your tarot card reading forgot to mention to you that you are about to meet a shortcoming in your life, me! I'm sure you will get a win eventually, but it won't be on my account. My momentum is too high to be stopped, ensuring that I am the one climbing the ladder and hanging that package above that ring to secure a win.”
“What an odd match though ain't it? It's like we entered one of Guy's speciality matches. I haven't been here long enough to know why such a match exists, but regardless I'd fight in almost any match type in order to prove myself. This match is no exception. Stella, I know you desire to achieve success and you will have no problem testing my limits in that ring, but I'll do the same with you if not more. Unfortunately for you, sweetheart this will cause you to crack under pressure therefore leaving you on the ground unable to move while I grasp my opportunity at victory with my bare hands.”
She raised her hand in the air, tightened it as though grabbing something, then smiled at the camera with the best of intentions behind it.
“This road I entered is going to be a long, yet difficult one, but I will not allow myself to give up. Instead, I will push myself to newer heights even if I'm limping on one foot, or my arms are barely hanging on. Call me crazy, or better yet call me crazy passionate.”
Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she got up, and was set to head into battle with everything she was taught in her wrestling career.
