Can I deliver us a river of sundew?
Careful, it's carnivorous, a little just won't do.
I wanna feel the shiver of something new.
I'm so sick of pretty, I want something true, don't you?
You just seem like your life's been a dream, whoa.
Since the moment you opened your eyes.
How far do these roots go down?
All I know are the blossoms you grow, whoa.
But, it's awesome to see how you rise.
How far can I rise? Through the roof, to the skies, let's go!

INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING GYM
SOMEWHERE IN MASSACHUSETTS
FEATURING: WHITNEY RHODES
As Whitney had scurried off to hangout with her husband on his lunch break, Stella had taken up occupancy in a quiet little corner of the gym. The pair had spent the day in the rock climbing gym, catching up as Stella filled her older sister in on the important things she had missed. Cellphone balanced against a bottle of ketchup as she sat at the picnic table, a plate of freshly baked Snickerdoodle cookies sat before her.
As she lifted one from the plate, she began to record, chewing thoughtfully on the first bite from the cookie. She takes another bite, and then another, finishing the cookie entirely. "There's something to be said about being able to capture the win for your team. Which is exactly what I did the last time I stepped foot into the ring." There's a gentle grin that crosses Stella's lips as she takes a moment to reflect.
"It was an exhilarating moment, one that made me really consider that I need to take things more seriously when it comes to all of this." Stella nods firmly, fingers lacing together in front of her as she clears her throat for a moment. "Many of you still consider me to just be some silly kid who doesn't take this seriously. But, I do, I take all of this very seriously, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun with the things you do inside of the ring." Her nose scrunches slightly, still trying to truly find her footing within the world of professional wrestling. Some people felt she was too naive and gentle and soft for such a business, but she felt secure enough to know that she wanted this more than anything else.
"I made the choice to become a professional wrestler when I laced up my boots and set foot into a gym for the first time. I made the choice on my own because I had such a love for the business that I wanted to get involved firsthand and yes, maybe that makes me sound a little silly. But, I can handle all of the pain that comes with everything that I have to endure around here." She grimaces, being brought back to the moment.
"But, nothing pains me more than letting people down and that's what I fear I may be doing lately. Aside from the tag match I had, I failed to capture a big opportunity at the last show and I want to make up for it this time." There's a little grin on her lips as she nods. "This time, I'm not alone again but I've got a pretty cool partner on my side who will stop at nothing to make sure we're both on the same page and I promise. No, I swear... I won't allow myself to get distracted by his oh so pretty face and those muscles and-" She clears her throat, cheeks heating with a blush as she exhales audibly.
"Brandon and I may be a couple, but we're also a couple of good friends who know each other better than anyone else perhaps. I adore him to the moon and back and I can't say if he thinks the same of me, but I don't want to let him down." She frowns slightly, picking up another cookie as she takes a big bite. "He deserves a partner who will give it their all and who won't be a distraction or a failure. I don't know if that's who I am, but I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure we work in tandem. To make sure that we both remember that in the end, we are going to be the ones standing tall with our opponents down for the three count. That's what all of this is about at the end of all of this." She dusts her hands off after finishing her second cookie, not bothering going for a third just yet as she chews on the remains and swallows them down before she speaks again.
"TJ Thompson and Cadillac Jackson might be a couple of talented folks. But, they're not like me and Brandon. We're focused and laser focused at that. We know what the endgame is for us at the end of this and we know how to work well together. Not just because we're dating, but because we have a connection. I know that if I spare a moment to allow myself to get distracted that it could cost us a win, so I have to try my hardest to focus on the task at hand." Her voice drops to a slight mumble. "Even if having Brandon as a partner is a distraction all on its own." She sighs softly, turning her attention back towards the camera as she inhales a gentle breath, focusing once more. "So, the main goal is to focus, stay on task, and make sure we work together to take out our opponents."
"I want to be the best that I can be, especially when it comes to not letting down my partner. Regardless of if he's my boyfriend or not, that isn't the point. The point is that we are going to end up victorious at the end of this match. We are going to celebrate our win with our opponents laid out and beaten. Even then, we'll help them to their feet and shake hands like good sports." A beat, a slight frown following swiftly behind. "At least, I hope our opponents don't turn out to be a couple of sore losers even in the face of defeat." She shakes her head, continuing on to close things out. "So, TJ and Caddy... I hope you guys are ready for the fight of your lives. Because I can assure you that Brandon and I are on the same page and that we will make sure that we are the ones who come out with the win." She flashes a grin. "Good luck!"
A kiss is blown to the camera a moment later, the scene fading to black as Stella cuts the recording off where it is.
