BASIC INFO
RING NAME: Jakeem “the King” Kobra
NICKNAME(S): The Suicidal Snake Charmer, The Bad Boy From Mumbai
HEIGHT: 5'10"
WEIGHT: 213 lbs.
DATE OF BIRTH: 10/03/1984
HOMETOWN: Bombay, India
RESIDING FROM: Mumbai, India
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
PIC BASE: Sabu
(Some distinguishing things that set him apart from Sabu is that he wears a special snake handlers glove over his left hand, forearm, and bicep. On his right arm, he has the tattoo of a snake coiled from his shoulder to the back of his hand, its fangs protruding onto his middle and index fingers. Away from the ring, he is often wearing tee shirts of Indian metal bands.)
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
THEME SONG: "Ari Ari" by Bloodywood
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION (OPTIONAL): The lights in the arena dim as Bloodywood’s “Ari Ari” begins to play. After a few seconds the song transitions from the sound of traditional drums and wind instruments to the more modern electric guitar. That’s when the curtains on the stage are tossed aside and Jakeem storms onto the stage in the middle of a single spotlight. With a canvas bag held over his shoulder by his left hand, he pauses on the stage and raises his right arm into the air. He holds his middle finger, index finger, and thumb in the air, each slightly curled forward, the same symbol he displays when preparing to lock on his primary finishing move, The Lockjaw.
After the audience's response, he continues on his way to the ring, occasionally glancing from side to side out of the corners of his eyes. Upon reaching the ring, he slides the canvas bag under the bottom rope toward the center before rolling in after it. He then crouches down long enough to untie the bag, before leaning his head back and once again raising his right hand into the air with the sign for The Lockjaw. That’s when Sonjay, his king cobra, raises his head from inside the canvas bag, the hood around his neck extended in a threatening manner. The ring announcer and referee immediately scramble to the ringside area at the sight of the reptile, but Jakeem pays them little mind.
Once the lights return to normal, Jakeem lifts Sonjay from the open bag and into the air with his left hand, as the snake’s body coils around his arm. After showing off the serpent for a few moments, Jakeem begrudgingly returns his pet to the canvas bag so that the referee and ring announcer feel comfortable returning to the ring. He places the bag in his corner and kneels down, silently awaiting the arrival of his opponent or the beginning of the match.

WRESTLER’S IN-RING INFO
CHARACTER DISPOSITION: Choose from options below:
Tweener
TENDENCY TO CHEAT: Choose from options below:
Rarely
MOTIVATION TO COMPETE: Delete all that DO NOT apply:
Passion; you live and breathe wrestling, winning or losing doesn't matter to you
Punishment; you just want to inflict as much pain as possible to everyone
Thrills; the personal rush you feel from performing and putting your own body at risk.
GIMMICK: Jakeem is a veteran competitor who has seen many hardcore battles. He is not only scarred from these matches but has also been rendered mute due to damage sustained to his vocal cords during a barbed wire ladder match. In layman’s terms, he is essentially a cross between Sabu and Jake the Snake Roberts. While appreciated for his daredevil style, he is also villainized by some for his affinity for lethal reptiles and his silent nature, thus a tweener.
FAVORITE MATCH TYPE: Barbed Wire, Ladders, Fire, and Tables, with his personal match being The Snake Pit Match
LEAST FAVORITE MATCH TYPE: Standard rules
WEAPON OF CHOICE: None unless Sonjay, his King Cobra, would apply. (He wouldn’t attack someone with the snake unless they were a HATED opponent, but he’s not above intimidating people with it.)

BIOGRAPHY
Jakeem was raised by his grandfather in Mumbai, India. They did not have much in the way of money or materialistic things, as Jakeem’s grandfather was a Snake Charmer who performed for foreign tourists on the city streets. At this young age, all Jakeem ever wanted to do was follow in his grandfather’s footsteps, so eventually he went from watching his grandfather’s performances to participating in them. He became so good at managing the snakes that his grandfather even gave him one to raise and train, and Jakeem was so successful that it eventually outperformed even his grandfather’s cobras. As Jakeem grew into his teen years, he began to develop interests beyond what his grandfather had to teach him. He became a fan of Indian Metal, while also becoming aware of the local underground wrestling scene. Because of his new passions, he was not always present for his grandfather’s performances, and it was during one of these absences that tragedy struck.
Jakeem’s grandfather had just finished a rarely successful day and was packing up his things when a man approached him with a switchblade knife. He demanded all of the elderly Snake Charmer’s earnings, as he had been watching him earn tips throughout the afternoon. The old man refused, insisting that he needed the money to help pay for his grandson's education. The thief, however, showed no mercy. Upon his refusal to hand over his money, the man fatally stabbed Jakeem’s grandfather in the street and dug through his pockets to take the money for himself.
Jakeem went to the part of the city where his grandfather usually performed, hoping to tell him about the wrestlers and musicians he had seen at that night’s shows. Instead, he found police securing the area and heard whispers about an old man being murdered and robbed. Jakeem pressed closer as a terrible feeling started to overcome him. Sure enough, it was as he feared. Jakeem pushed his way past the police officers as they desperately tried to hold the young man back. When he reached his grandfather’s side, he realized that he was already too late.
What Jakeem also learned was that only a couple of blocks away, the man who robbed and murdered his grandfather was also lying dead in the street. In his rush to take the old man’s money, the thief failed to realize that Jakeem’s grandfather had not yet latched the basket that housed his King Cobra. Before he could flee the scene, the snake slithered to the old man’s side and struck out at his attacker, filling him with a lethal dose of venom. The snake was still coiled near the old man’s body when police arrived on the scene, but instead of attempting to wrangle the animal, they shot it dead as well.
In one night, Jakeem had been robbed of his grandfather, his beloved pet, and his vengeance. Afraid of what might become of him without a guardian, Jakeem flew into the night with no idea where he would end up. After a few days of begging for food on the streets, he stumbled across a flyer for a carnival that was operating on the outskirts of Mumbai. Hoping they would hire him for some menial tasks, Jakeem made his way there and pleaded with every carnival worker he could find. He would eventually have some luck with Snake Charmers employed by the carnival due to his extensive knowledge of the craft despite his young age.
As Jakeem began working underneath these performers, he also discovered that the carnival had a wrestling show of its own. Not only did Jakeem continue to learn and perfect the art of Snake Charming, but he was able to gain training in Professional Wrestling as well. When Jakeem was old enough to be considered an adult, he began wrestling outside of the carnival, building a name for himself amongst the local promoters. This would eventually lead to him having the opportunity to join a tour of Japan, thus Jakeem was able to display his skills for a larger audience. Not only were fans impressed with his daredevil style in the ring, but Jakeem incorporated his Snake Charming routine before his matches as well. It was this combination of skill and showmanship that caught the eyes of foreign talent scouts, who were more than happy to bring this young talent to America.
Jakeem made his American debut in 2005 and spent the next 6 years competing for American promotions. Often booked in deathmatch style competition, Jakeem was popular with the diehard fans, despite the toll it took on his body. In one of these matches, Jakeem’s vocal cords were severely injured by an opponent with a penchant for using barbed wire wrapped ladders. While he still bears those scars to this day, so too does his opponent bear the scars that Sonjay left when achieving vengeance for his master. After finishing his contract in 2011, Jakeem returned to his native India, much to the delight of his countrymen who followed professional wrestling. It was on their recent world tour that Project: Honor came into contact with Jakeem, its representatives urging him to return to mainstream wrestling...
