"I understand that you're all hurting, but this needs to end." Fade in on a bright white room with no disturnable walls, doors or windows. The thuds of footsteps echo through the endless empty room as Lesley Adora enters the scene, dressed from head to toe in an embroidered white body suit. "I have a lot to talk about tonight brothers and sisters, so bare with me. I'm well aware you're all struggling, but we have to put an end to this senseless violence... even if you're not partaking in it, we need to stop it. It's gone too far.
Fallout, has gone too far." Lesley stops in the middle of the room, seemingly radiating a white glow. "Let's get into this week, and if it doesn't show you that something is terribly wrong, that the darkness has spread even further than I thought... then it's just another loss in my war against the darkness.
There's one man I'd be remiss not to mention immediately. A man who made their debut last week in a very ominous, eerie... 'to be expected on Fallout' way.
Rey De Las Sombras. I know a lot of you think that Rey is destiny to be my mortal enemy, considering he is supposedly the literal incarnation of what I search to destroy: The darkness. While that's true, and while I believe that Rey is perpetrating a crime against The Light by blatantly opposing its philosophy, I also believe nobody is too infected. Nobody is not worth saving, which is why I am enamored that Sombras has been afforded this opportunity. He may think he is a harbinger of darkness, or a spokesmen of it, but I promise you that Rey knows nothing of what true, sinking, paralyzing darkness is. I wish to extend my hand and show him that hes picked the wrong side to represent, yes. However I also look to make an example of him. Not the generic, cliché wrestling form of 'beating him down to make a point', but a literal example. You all want to deny the darkness? Pretend everything is fine and that you don't need The Light? Watch this man. Listen to the things he says, and realize that he is not unlike you. He'll say extreme things, he will say them in a way that makes you hate him... but once you get that feeling of hatred I want you to find a mirror and take a long, hard look at yourself. For everything he says, is the same darkness that has consumed your soul. Rey is clearly a pawn for Fallout, for why else would he get such an opportunity without even a single match? Hmmm...
Then Daniel Horror. If you need me to tell you how Daniel exemplifies the darkness then I've already failed. Daniel and I clashed for the first time a few weeks ago, and predictably he had the same reaction to my emergence as most. He viewed me as fake and a fraud. However I'm hoping after some time Daniel has been able to witness me, hear and heed my message; but I understand he may need more time. Daniel scored the only elimination in our scramble match other than Mason and myself, so I'm not discrediting your acumen, but questioning your spot. You're a former Ascension Champion, absolutely true. However that was before the division evolved into what it is today, and I'm afraid while the division has evolved, you have stayed put. Stagnant and content in mediocrity. No fault of your own, but due to your beliefs you feel you've earned the right to keep moving up the card, yet show no willingness or want to improve. So I'm afraid that short run with the Ascension Championship will be the last, and only. Just another pawn on the board.
Now I know considering Mason and I have history it'd make sense to save him for last, but that spot is for Arik Holt. It'll make sense in time with what I need to tell you Mason." A far away look washes over Lesley's face as he gets lost in his own thoughts. However after a moment Lesley collects himself, and continues.
"Mason this will be the third time we're in the ring together, and after our backstage altercation last week; that I do take responsibility for; I'd like to think we know each other fairly well. It was a blessing that I walked in on your conversation with your sweet... sweet boy. Kaidence, was his name? Because it proved that I was right about you. Behind your facade of loving violence and pain... you're a good person. You're someone who truly, genuinely, deserves The Light. Which is why it's all the more infuriating that you refuse to listen. You refuse to entertain anything I say, but have I spoke any inaccuracies pertaining to you yet? I was the first to point out the injustice you suffered when you were put into a tag match instead of getting a one-on-one Ascension title shot. Nothing against Logan but it was clear he wasn't at the level of the other three in the match, and you were placed with him to try and assure you didn't get the fair shot you earned. And it worked. We were both robbed of our opportunity at the Ascension Championship Mason; you when they made the match and gave you Logan, and myself when Kasey stabbed me in the back to feed her own ego. And with all the interference, we were never going to walk out champion Mason, neither of us. It didn't fit the narrative.
Regardless, you voiced your frustrations about it, and look what it got you. More people, more stipulations, more odds stacked against you. You're not angry with me Mason, you can't be. You're angry with Fallout. You're angry at the darkness. You truly want to be someone who follows The Light, for The Light is fair. The Light is benevolent, and The Light rewards those who do and earn good things.
The darkness just takes them away.
That's why I wanted to save Holt, because I finally figured it out, though it took me a while. Fallout is not just a brand, is an entity. It's not Christian DeMarco, it's not Arik Holt or anybody in between.
... Fallout itself is the darkness. Fallout thrives on chaos, agony, suffering. People earn opportunities just to have them taken away. Julius Fairweather had his head SET ON FIRE. For The Light's sake we're in a match this week where EVERY SINGLE PERSON who doesn't walk out with the Ascension Championship will be thrown into a BURNING DUMPSTER. Christian DeMarco has put human souls into positions where they are unsafe and not for the love of wrestling... for sick enjoyment. Not only that but Arik Holt who has been inactive and is part of the management team now is getting another shot at the Ascension Championship? I know he's a former champion but if that doesn't scream red flag than what does? Not to get called out for any 'crackpot theories', but it's obvious to me that Arik either keeps his mouth closed for a reason and knows more then he lets on; or DeMarco is covering up something. I don't trust Arik, nor believe he should be in this contest. But who knows, maybe I just redd too deep into the situation...
But Mason, where's the outrage? Not just you, everyone. Why, no HOW has Fallout brainwashed you all that a man who is trying to tell you that the world thrives on capitalism and racism and that the 'survival of the fittest' mentality is GETTING PEOPLE HURT...is the ONLY BAD GUY. Everyone else on this roster is touted as a monster, a fighter, an anarchist, a warrior, a renegade, hardcore or anything else under the sun. Yet when I come in with a desire to stop my brothers and sisters from being harmed, give them a better life and bring needed change... I'm the only true villain on this brand. Do you not see the disconnect, the discrepancies? Mason, you of all people NEED to see this... because they're coming for you next.
The landscape of Fallout has changed and I won't hunger for the low hanging fruit by targeting the departed like some may, but Kasey Winterborn is not the animal you'll all make her out to be now that she's gone. She was a victim. She was placed into a situation where she had to adapt. She in her own words hated violence... but when you're surrounded by something and told you have to conform or get eaten alive... it's easy and expected to cave to those pressures. Look at her Mason. She was given everything, only on a surface level. A title that she defended valiantly but was never allowed to on her own. Fallout was always throwing something in her way and kept their finger on every move she made. She was stalked Mason... STALKED, and nobody did anything more than talk about how unfortunate it was. You're next in line Mason. Don't you see it? Don't you hear it? ESPECIALLY now that their... sick, demented hands have lost their favorite toys to play with... they're talking you up on all their little exclusives as the next to take her place. Is that what you want? To be manipulated into someone who has to change their ways, conform to their barbaric practices just so that they can be entertained? Is that what's best for you? Is that's what's best... for Kaidence?"
Lesley begins to seeth, for the first time since his debut dropping his heir of calm, getting louder. "No, no. That's not best for you, it's not best for anybody. Which is why I need to win this match. They ignore me, downplay me and stack the deck against me at every turn to try and push me into their shadows. Fallout doesn't want me to succeed, because they knows I'm not here to be a pawn in their game of chess. I'm here to end the game entirely. I'm here to stop letting them play around with people's emotions, their mental and physical well-beings. Fallout is unsafe, and despite naming the match this week after it, the biggest dumpster fire in the world right now is Fallout as a brand.
Winning the Ascension Championship? Is the first step towards extinguishing it.
They tried to play a trump card by making this stipulation. To win I must burn the flesh of others, my own brothers and sisters. It's something I'm not proud of, something that makes me literally sick to my stomach thinking about. And I know it's a small victory for Fallout, for they're forcing me to abandon my morals. But I will not bow to you, darkness. You will not break me you HEATHENS. I will do what needs to be done, and when I'm finally holding the Ascension Championship? It's the beginning of the end to your sick, perverted games." The scene slowly gets brighter and brighter, making it hard to see.
"Recently in an attempt to distract people from their psychopathic rituals, Fallout promoted a young lady who tried to lighten the darkness in her own quirky way. She tried to rebrand Fallout for the better. Yet the darkness never truly gave her a chance to fully shine. It seems now nobody will remember her, nobody gives a 'hoot' anymore.
But I don't give a 'hoot' about Fallout. So this isn't a rebranding, it's a premonition.
The word 'hallelujah' is usually used in a Christian religious sense, but it's literal translation is to praise something that brings joy and happiness. I will be the one who brings joy and happiness to Fallout. Fallout will change. Fallout will collapse under its own dark infrastructure and it WILL accept The Light. No more pain. No more torment. No more games.
This isn't hallelujah. This... is Fallelujah."
End.
