It’d been about a couple of days since Lance Williams has had back surgery in the Back Institute Surgery Center. He didn’t have a choice in where he was going to have his back surgery, just that it was covered financially and that this was one of the best places to be. Being stuck on his back staring at the ceiling wasn’t fun, especially since he hasn’t had any visitors at all. No one from the company he used to work at had been in touch and he wasn’t on speaking terms with his dad.
The only thing Lance had for company was his thoughts, and right now they weren’t all that exciting but more depressing. As he laid there, the pain meds started kicking in as he finally drifted off to sleep.
~~~~ DREAM MODE ACTIVATED!!! ~~~~
The match has got underway with Lance Williams getting the upper hand from the start. He manages to take Jackson Jones done with a Superkick. The man he has a lot of history with, a man who is out to make sure UCWA is rid of Lance Williams. After all, this was a Loser Leaves UCWA Match. Lance and Jackson are literally fighting for their career. After Lance had hit Jackson with a Superkick, he just got on top of him unloading left and right punches. Jackson manages to block some but at the same time also manages to eat a couple of good shots from Lance Williams.
Eventually, Jackson manages to push Lance off him being the bigger man of the two competitors. Now both back to their feet, Lance runs at Jackson only to be on the receiving end of the deadliest Big Boot in the business. Lance goes crashing to the mat, probably having lost half of his teeth from the Big Boot. Jackson grabs Lance around the throat lifting Lance up from the mat and lifting Lance high enough to hit him with a Double Handed Chokeslam Bomb and goes for the cover.
ONE…
TWO…
TH…
KICKOUT BY LANCE WILLIAMS!!!
This just angers Jackson who once again gets to his feet and lifts Lance up to yet again go for a Double Handed Chokeslam Bomb, only Lance has other ideas as he manages to grab on and lock in a Triangle Choke. Lance has it locked in tightly as he wrenches down on the hold finally bringing Jackson down to his knees. Lance was now on his back, still with the Triangle Choke locked in.
The referee is checking on Jackson who is refusing to give up as Lance continues to apply the pressure to the hold. Jackson has now managed to get to his feet, even with Lance still applying the pressure. Finally, Jackson finds the strength and slams Lance to the mat with a devastating Powerbomb that shakes the whole ring.
Now both Lance and Jackson lay on the mat, both trying to get back to their feet, only Jackson manages to get to his feet quicker than Lance does. Once Lance got to his feet, Jackson ran at Lance attempting to hit him with a Heavy Lariat only Lance ducks it and Springboards off the rope hitting a Tornado DDT. Jackson’s head is spiked into the mat hard, Lance gets back to his feet seeing his opportunity as he climbs to the top turnbuckle.
Lance jumps from the turnbuckle going for a Moonsault only for Jackson to bring his knees up as Lance’s midsection is crushed by them. Lance is laying on the mat gasping for air as Jackson gets to his feet laughing at Lance as he did. Jackson drags Lance nearer the turnbuckle before getting up to the second rope and jumping off with a Body Splash. A three hundred pound man crushing down on him as Lance is gasping for breath even more now.
Jackson sees his opportunity to end the match and helps Lance to his feet only to end up being on the receiving end of a kick to the balls. Jackson collapses to the mat in agony as he holds his balls. Unfortunately for Jackson, there were no DQ’s so although it was a dirty move it was still legal.
That’s when the lights to the arena go out, a commotion can be heard. When the lights come back on you can see two guys in balaclavas with steel pipes in hand. Lance Williams is laid out unconscious on the mat, his face covered in blood too. The two guys aren’t finished there as Jackson gets to his feet and orders them to pick Lance up. Before they do, they drop the metal pipes to the mat. Jackson picks one of them up, swinging it and hitting Lance in the bottom of the spine, over and over again.
Once the guys in balaclavas let go, Lance crumbles to the mat not being able to move at all. As his lifeless body is laid on the mat face down, Jackson once again starts hitting Lance again and again with the metal pipe to the bottom of the spine. The referee is powerless to do anything while the guys wearing the balaclavas were holding him back as he is forced to watch the onslaught happen.
~~~~ DREAM MODE DEACTIVATED!!! ~~~~
The screams are spine chilling and deafening from Lance as he is awoken from his sleep in agony with his back. The Nurse comes rushing over to him, giving him more morphine to help him with the pain. It doesn’t take long for the meds to kick in, as she can clearly see that they’ve helped him with the pain. As Lance laid there semi-conscious, he is not sure if it’s the pain meds making him imagine it or not but he can hear a familiar voice.
“Is it okay to go see him, Nurse?” The familiar-sounding voice asked.
“Go ahead, just take into account that he is dosed up on morphine so he may know you there or may not. Just call me if either of you needs anything, sir.” The Nurse replied before heading off to deal with other duties.
Nothing personal, it’s just business.” - Otto Berman

CAIRO, EGYPT
APRIL 6TH, 2021
Cairo, Egypt was a lovely looking place but damn it was hot here. Lance had decided to set up in front of the pyramids. It was such a nice backdrop and the pyramids had a lot of history. Then again, there was a lot of history between Lance Williams and Mark Hunter but here Lance was preparing to do his thing against his good friend Mark. Lance stood there in a pair of jean shorts and a vest with the words “Bulldoze everything!” on it as he is now given the thumbs up to go ahead.
“I deserve better than this… Honestly, there were only three people in the Purge match that did deserve better than to compete in that brutal match. Mark Hunter, Eli Atlas, and Kallie Reznik. After all, they’re the only three who were worthy of better things in that match. Even so, Mark Hunter went on to win the said Purge match and earn the right to the briefcase that was eventually revealed to hold a Grand Championship match. I’m glad I wasn’t part of Project: Honor when that match was made but then again I bet Mark Hunter was glad I wasn’t part of that match too. I would’ve been the one earning that briefcase and the one with the Grand Championship but well done to you Mark, I wasn’t there and you made the most of it.”
“Mark had to defeat people like Seth Blackheart, a Nazi loving Viking Dagvald Riddik, Arik Holt, Josh Andrew Scott, an inbred in Victoria Strader, and Matt Knox, someone who went by “The Raven” only to end up more being like “The Chicken” Matt Knox. Then again, it’s not the first time that he has tucked his tail and run from a company and I doubt it’ll be the last too. There were two other competitors in that match too that lost to Mark Hunter, Eli Atlas, and Kallie Reznik. Two people that are not in the same category as the others I mentioned also suffered defeat thanks to my buddy Mark. Eli and Kallie are talented individuals that are not forgettable like the rest. Unbreakable Resolution was a good night for Mark Hunter but that’s because I wasn’t there. Otherwise, Mark would’ve been just as unfortunate as the rest in defeat but I’m proud of you Mark for being the first to win a horrible match they call the Purge match.”
Pausing for a moment, Lance grabs a bottle of water from one of the crew members that were there. He unscrews the cap guzzling down half of the bottle. It was so hot there and it was clear to see from the sweat running down Lance’s face. He grabbed a towel from one of the crew, tipping what was left of the bottle of water over his head before wiping it with the towel. Once he was done, Lance passed the empty bottle along with the wet and sweaty towel back to the crew member.
“Die in the shadows… No likelihood of that happening here in Cairo, unless you get buried in one of those pyramids quicker than Zack Tyler in a match. Anyway… Next up for Mark Hunter was teaming with Ramesses, damn that sounds like a damn disease. Thankfully for everyone, the only one who has to deal with the itch from it is Kimberley Chase. Kimberley if you’re watching… Who am I kidding? Of course you're watching as a real man is in action. This leads me to what I was going to say if you actually want a real man, hit me up, only after you’ve bathed in a bath of bleach… For at least nine days. Back to the disease Ramesses and the point I was originally going to make. Mark would’ve done better in that Tag match if he wasn’t burdened with you and I was there to team with him. He wouldn’t have walked out on me, and he definitely wouldn’t have taken a loss either.”
“What will be, will be as they say. It did lead to Dickie Watson and Aiden Reynolds beating the absolute shit out of you, so that was at least entertaining enough to see. Watching The Commonwealth be the cure to get rid of the disease that is Ramesses. Mentioning The Commonwealth though, I do often wonder if people see me as Hunter did Aiden, with Hunter being my ticket to the top. Maybe Mark is my ticket to the top, then again, he’d be anyone’s ticket to the top especially since he is the Grand Champion, and beating him one on one would be something to actually brag about. I’ve done it once and I’m going to take the opportunity to prove that I can do it again.”
There is someone out of shot being loud and the ignorance from them is starting to annoy Lance, he disappears out of camera shot. A few moments pass before Lance returns into the shot smiling and giving a nod to the cameraman that he was ready again.
“Loud Ignorance… I hate it when people are loud and full of ignorance, it forces me to have to deal with them, a good job that won’t be a problem with me around. Moving on anyway, The Crowning, where Mark Hunter was in the War Games match. A match where he had the chance to earn the title of becoming Tyrant of Project: Honor. A title that really doesn’t matter to anyone but the person who earned it I guess. In the War Games match though, I thought it’d be something Hunter would’ve thrived in since he goes one about the hunt is on enough and he had plenty of prey to hunt in that match. Unfortunately for Mark though he wasn’t very successful in the match and he won’t be against me in our match either.”
“One thing I do want you to know though buddy, you may think about the hunt being on often, only in these circumstances you’ll merely just be a Hunter by name. Nature has decided that I will be the true Hunter in this match, so I guess all I have to say about that is Mark, the hunt is on, be prepared for once to be the hunted rather than the one hunting. I must admit that sounded better in my head than when I said it but be it, all the same, we may well be friends but it’s nothing personal out there, just business when I BULLDOZE through you to victory!”
When Lance has finished his sentence, one of the crew members there passes him another bottle of water. The dry heat here in Cairo, Egypt was horrendous but the show must go on. Lance has already got the bottle of water undone and already done what he did last time as he passes the empty bottle to the crew member in exchange for a clean and dry towel. Lance then once again dries himself off before throwing the wet and sweaty towel to the crew member who is out of shot of the camera.
“No respect and no class… Something that a lot of people here in Project: Honor seem to lack, thankfully I know I’m not one of them. I’d stand here naming names but I’d be here all day and I’m not about to stand around in this heat longer than I need to. Next on my agenda, Mark Hunter and his decision to share his knowledge on Sherlock Holmes with us all. This is where Mark decided he’d compare himself to Sherlock Holmes, and I’m extremely disappointed in him for not mentioning the comparison with Dr. Watson and Dickie Watson. Other than the fact they both have the same last name, they’re both sidekicks in their relevant stories. Dr. Watson the sidekick to Sherlock Holmes obviously and of course Dickie Watson the sidekick to Mark Hunter in his story. That’s where the story changes though, I’m not willing to be anyone’s sidekick, I’m rewriting the story to fit me and that starts by beating you again Mark.”
“We’ve been friends for a long time, no one here knows you like I do Mark and no one was there like you were either. That’s a different story for another time though. It doesn’t take a Detective to find out our past when it comes to teaming together either, we were undefeated as a team and just because I obviously haven’t said it enough, I’m undefeated against you one on one too!”
A satisfying smile appears on Lance’s face before he continues on.
“Feeling ropey… We both know that’s not something you’re going to be feeling in our match. Whilst on the subject, I’ve said before that I don’t agree with the way Mark won the Grand Championship. I’m not going to stand here and make excuses for Mark or anything but he didn’t lie about being the asshole that he is, everyone just chose not to listen to him and that’s their problem. Dickie, you should’ve been expecting something like that going against Mark Hunter but yet you were quick to jump at the fact he did it to you to win the Grand Championship but what have you done to get revenge? Oh, that’s right, you got a Tag Team to win against him and tried to class that as revenge, really? Surely not even you are that stupid to believe that, that is revenge for what he did to you. I respect your talent Dickie and anyone would be stupid not to but you’ve become predictable. I already know you’re going to jump right on Twitter after you see this, and Tweet about how I’m wrong, and that I’ve mentioned you so much when I should be focused on my opponent Mark Hunter.”
“Trust me, I’m definitely focused on my friend Mark Hunter, and I’ve done something that you’re not capable of doing, I’ve beaten him before in a one-on-one match. Yes, you’re going to tell me how you’ve beaten him in Tag Matches but that just isn’t the same no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise. Anyway, I’ve given you enough attention and ammo for you to cry about on Twitter. I’m sure you’ll be crying even more when I beat Mark Hunter and instantly put myself in the running for a Grand Championship match. You’ll whine and complain how management hates you, and how it’s bullshit that I’ll possibly get a Grand Championship shot before you. One last thing though, I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it before or not but I’ve accomplished something you haven’t, a one-on-one victory against Mark Hunter, and after Proving Ground I will have beaten him twice in a one-on-one match.”
The smugness from Lance is clear in his tone.
“The present… Where Lance Williams proves to the world he is better than Mark Hunter, and I’m sorry that I have to do this to you Mark but I am going to be the one to have beaten you twice one on one. I know I keep saying it but I’m not sure I’ll ever tire of hearing it or the fact that I’m the only one to have a one on one victory over you, soon to be two. You may well believe that it is your time now Mark but I’m afraid I’m the bearer of bad news. As much as you’re prepared and eager to win, I’m just that much more prepared and eager than you to do so. You’re out to prove that you can beat me whereas I’m not only out to prove that I can beat you again but that I belong back in the ring.”
“I’ve had to fight hard to get to where I am again. Even when I got cleared, I still had to battle my demons to get back in that ring. I do have to thank you for being the reason I am back in the ring. The history between us is good and bad but I’ll always remember what you’ve done for me, I just hope you won’t hate me too much when I beat you in the ring again. The surroundings may well be different, the circumstances different too as well but if you remember back when I defeated you the first time, no one expected me to do it then, and I know no one expects me to this time either. So when I do beat you again, I’m going to stick two fingers up to the doubters and tell them, I told you so!”
Signaling to the cameraman he was done, Lance grabs another bottle of water.
“See you at Proving Ground Mark, when I BULLDOZE my way through you!”
The last thing we see is “Bulldozer” Lance Williams walking off, more than likely heading back for a cold shower.
