Angel grew up on the streets of Brooklyn where he quickly learned that it was a dog eat dog world there. In his area lived gangbangers, wannabe thugs, and poor people he knew that he didn't want to be living that kind of life so started training to be an athlete. When he was in highschool he played Football and Basketball where he averaged pretty decent numbers in both but he wasn't really a stand out until his senior year where he dominated in football. This lead him to be offered many scholarships for football some of them even being from ranked it looked like he was gonna be one of the top ones to watch before the college season. All until 2 weeks before it started instead of training like most college players he was in a courtroom due to accusations of stealing. Those accusations caused his scholarship from USC revoked even though they were proven false they refused to give the scholarship back and he didn't have money to attend any other college without one he thought his life was over due to them. He was now living the life he tried so desperately to escape then finding no other options he went to the only other escape he had and that was watch wrestling but he wasn't just going to watch any longer he wanted to do something he loved so much. So over the next he took a part time job to scrap by just enough money to get his career up and running.

He instantly took to it due to him already being an ameature athlete he was billed as the best out of the state at the time because he really was and he proved it having some classics on the indies. He was without a doubt one to watch up until his past was dug up by people online they didn't even care if they were false accusations people started treating him like a dirty criminal. The situation was eerily similar to when his scholarship was pulled he was devastated everything he loved doing everything he wanted to do was ripped away just because of a allegation. He was at a real dark place at this time but he wanted to keep going so he can provide for his mom with money and now he had another motivation to prove that he isn't a criminal.
