EPISODE 001: PRIMADONNA GIRL!
KNIGHTSBRIDGE, LONDON.
“What is the secret to my success? - A question I get asked on an hourly basis, being the absolute superstar that I am. Could it be that I have enough money in my bank account to purchase a small country? Or could it be the fact that I have a body and personality reminiscent of a young Kate Moss? Perhaps my success stems from my relatively large social media following… no. It’s simply really, the secret to my success. Once I tell you what it is, you’ll feel stupid for asking, it’s-”
Chloe Carter’s mental talk show interview is suddenly interrupted by the sound of a brisk knock on her hotel room door, with a disgruntled sigh, the blonde rises from the vanity table and opens the door, her annoyance visibly fading as she makes eye contact with a beaming Danielle who barges into the room without invitation.
“Did you forget we have an early start today?” Danielle doesn’t need an answer, of course Chloe forgot. She places a Starbucks bag down on the table and then very carefully reveals a stunning outfit from her bag, proceeding to glance over at Chloe for approval, which she gets instantly, her friend offering a pearly white, genuine smile. “Chloe! Today is super important, this is the world’s first introduction to you and I know how much it means! The spotlight is all yours my dear, we’re going to take advantage of that. And before you ask, yes, this outfit is for you today, yes I got you Starbucks, yes I’ll finish off your hair whilst you do your makeup, yes your nail appointment is at 12, not 1, and yes I’ve nearly finished your gear for your debut, not to toot my own horn or anything but you’re going to LOVE it. Now sit down.”
“You’re a lifesaver.” Chloe practically squeals, immediately perching herself back on the seat, suddenly feeling excited for the day ahead.
“I know, you’re going to be looking, talking and walking the part in no time and I cannot wait.”

“A special occasion?” The nail tech working on Chloe’s dainty hands asks as she applies two coats of rose gold varnish to her nail, waiting for it to set before applying a single coat of silver glitter varnish on top, to make the glamourous set pop even more. It’s mid afternoon and Chloe’s been sitting in the salon for almost an hour but for once, she’s being completely cool and patient. It had taken Danielle a long time to find a place that lived up to her standards and had an available appointment for the high maintenance duo so it was the least she could do.
“Oh yes. Probably not what you’re thinking though.” The tech raises an eyebrow which prompts the blonde to continue, a smirk now appearing on her ruby lips. “I’m a wrestler. I think I deserve to spare no expense when it comes to my debut in the US. Everything has got to be.. perfect.” She sighs dreamily, imagining all the ways her brutally beautiful debut can and will go, her actions earn her a funny look from both Dani and the nail tech.
“Well you certainly came to the right place. I have a few nephews who are quite fond of the whole wrestling thing, I can’t understand why anyone would want to subject themselves to something so.. extreme for the name of entertainment.” Although she doubted her intentions were ill, Chloe’s face scrunched up in disgust at hearing this random woman speak so degradingly of what she was planning to do, thankfully she was too preoccupied in adding charms to the end of her dagger like nails to notice she’d just pissed off the wrong person. Dani, who had just paid for her manicure, shot her look as if to say “Don’t you dare start.”
“Why?” She repeats, begrudgingly doing her best to remain as level headed as possible. “Well, I can’t imagine someone who works a job that my grandmother could do in her sleep would ever begin to understand the reasons why I’m seeking out a grand platform that I quite frankly deserve to have, but unlike most, I'm a woman of action so I put time, effort, and grace into my bark. I have my reasons why I want to do this, personally they’re edged in the legacy I’ve set out for myself. My career will be engraved into the memory books of every company I decide to grace with my existence. I will be spoken of so highly as a figure to anyone who even attempts to follow in my footsteps and something of that much importance won't be ruined or downplayed by an underwhelming dope like you. I’m starting to make the world a better place by brutalising the vermin of the wrestling world and people like you better hope I don’t move on to brutalising the vermin of the everyday world once I’m finished.” Chloe spoke matter-of-factly and then grinned sweetly at the horrified nail tech who just glanced over at an apologetic Danielle.

“She.. she didn’t mean that, I apologise, she just gets a bit worked up when it comes to her passion.” Danielle offered her sweetest smile, frantically trying to defuse the already incredibly tense situation, ushering Chloe up and out of the chair.
“Don’t listen to little miss goody two shoes over here, I meant every word of that! Virgil Barrick may be the first victim but who knows who’ll be next? It could be anyone! I enjoy hurting people, I love watching them suffer, my plight is purely selfish and you will rue the day you ever questioned Chloe Carter!” Danielle was very thankful that they were the only clientele in the shop right now because to say that Chloe was causing an unnecessary scene right now would be the understatement of the millennium. The nail tech had jumped out of her seat, backed against the wall with fear in her eyes, other employees had stepped in, deciding it wasn’t worth it, Chloe stormed out of the shop, thankful that at least her nails were done.
“I am so sorry. So, so sorry. Thank you for your wonderful service, I’ll make sure to recommend you to my.. less dramatic friends. Please, take this as an apology and as a thank you from me.” Grabbing her purse, she pulled out a handful of notes, unsure of the exact amount but knowing it was more than enough to cover the cost and handed them to the shaken up workers before picking up the bags the duo had brought in with them and hastily exiting the shop to stop Chloe from doing something stupid and probably illegal. To her surprise, Chloe was calmly waiting outside, leaning against the wall and scrolling through her phone. “Ow, what was that for?” She exclaimed after receiving a relatively hard punch in the arm from Danielle.
“Come on, we’re going to get something to eat and an outfit for us both. Do not get us kicked out of anywhere else.” There’s a degree of authority to her tone so Chloe doesn’t verbally protest, merely rolling her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest like a toddler mid temper tantrum.
“Fine. Whatever. We can get dinner at Harvey Nichols anyways.”

“I need something cold, something glittering and deadly… like a Faberge hand grenade.” Chloe mutters to herself, rummaging through the shelves of one of Knightsbridge's most infamous designer stores. “This is a big deal. It’s the beginning of a saga, a legacy! Virgil’s strong physique means absolutely nothing, I give him five minutes in the ring with me before it deflates into nothingness as the gears in his small mind pop off and roll into the abyss. Everyday I thank God for making me an individual with the strength of graphene and the mind that can withstand any sort of uncertainty.”
Chloe almost instantly decides on purchasing the dress, some pearl earrings and a pair of black pumps to complete the outfit, Danielle purchases her own and the two head up towards the restaurant area of the store, Chloe orders a gourmet meal for the both, kind of just choosing whatever looks the best on the menu.
“It's time to talk to Virgil directly, don’t you think?” Danielle muses, multiple shopping bags at her feet, sipping on the glass of red wine in front of her. Chloe raises an eyebrow, unsure as to why she should bother with something so.. boring. “Hey, verbal assassination can be just as fun as physical assassination!.. I think.”
Chloe giggles. “You’re so innocent sweets. But.. when you put it that way, maybe I should have a chat with dear ol’ Virgil. Could you film for me?” She asks, batting her eyelashes, Danielle smiles and pulls out her phone, shooting a thumbs up when the recording begins.
“Hello, Chloe XO here to bless your screens for free on this fine Saturday evening. Don’t pinch yourself, this is really happening. People don’t know it yet, but very soon I will be an unbreakable force here on Underground. You people, Virgil my darling, you’re included by the way, you don’t have the slightest idea that you’re witnessing a hardcore legend being created. The second people realise Chloe XO is competing, tickets will sell out in record time. I am a gem, a diamond in a case of pebbles that’s just waiting to be discovered so I can shine and illuminate the world. I'm a wrestler for a few reasons, all I want to do is create havoc and create my destiny. I have so much to offer to this company, no one can compare to me. Virgil, you also have nothing to offer to me and to this company. Will you show me something new? Will you make me learn something I’ve never known? Will you enlighten me with your cunning wrestling abilities? No, you will not. It’s a shame that they’re letting just anyone wrestle nowadays. I’ve spent years fighting small clones of you. You’re all the same. You all like to do stiff kicks to the groin, back, chest, head - you name it, in order to seem strong. I know what I have in store when we step in the squared circle, but do you know what you have in store when you lock eyes with the rose from the devil’s garden? When I learned that you were going to be the first victim, I was floored. I’ve gone against my fair share of brutes but something about you enrages me. Don’t get it twisted - my automatic hatred against you isn’t premeditated. This is the first time I’ve ever seen you. My hatred against you stems from the fact that you are the obstacle that is in the way of me being deemed as the first woman with a win under her belt. You have the possibility of taking away any sort of credibility I can generate during my time here. You can ruin everything for me within a blink of an eye and that infuriates me to no end. The mere sight of you pisses me off and I can’t wait to make an example out of you. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, when you go against one of the most gifted monsters in the entire world nothing matters other than how you will muster any ounce of courage after such a humiliating defeat. I hope it doesn’t hurt too bad.. but I make no promises!”
“Love, Chloe XO.”
